Jaipur tour for couples.

I am planning to travel to Jaipur with my fiancée in the month of March. Can you suggest me an itinerary? I will be going for 5 days. Packages for two people would be great.
Also let me know if tour guides are essential to hire there? Are they cheats or reliable?

'Jaipur is a very nice place and March will be a good month.. It does get hot during the day. Try looking for a hotel near the railway station area as it is easily connected by all market areas.

One day will go in travelling and reaching the place, keep it for resting. Take a full day city tour the next day. One day go for shopping . other day plan your evening at Chowki Dhani. 5th day will be your return.

Hi Paromita,

I sugget you go for a guide............ there are more cheats roaming all around amber fort, but speaking to them for 2-3 minutes is enough to make out whether they have the required knowledge of the place.....
Guide is required at Amber fort and City Palace...

I guess there is no need for any packages. Just get hold of a car and you can complete Jaipur trip in 2 days. Just make sure the car rental agency is certified by RATO (Rajasthan Association for Toor Operators).

March is likely to be a good time to visit. For accomodation, you can try Pearl Palace.Location, tariff, hospitality - all are good. (P) 01412373700/01412373752

@Mr. Sumit can you enlighten me more about this RATO (Rajasthan Association for Toor Operators). I mean how will i know that that the rental car in RATO certified?

@Sharda: Yeah i have heard a lot abouy this place Chowki Dhani, wil surely visit there.

5 Days are perferct for Jaipur
Day 1 : City Palace,Jantar Mantar, Govind devji Temple, HawaMahal
Day 2 : Jaigarh Fort , NaharGarh Fort, Amer (Evening Laser show is
Very good). Private Taxi is required for this Day. On route you
can see lake palace.Chances are little that you get time after
visiting this place. In case you have a time you can visit Kanak
Vrindavan Temple & Garden
Day 3 : Morning : Albert Hall Museum, Zoo, Birla Mandir,
Evening : Galta Temple Complex, Sisodia Rani Ka bagh.
(Little Isolated Place some times few visitors in
working days).
Day 4 : Morning : Jawahar Kala Kendra or Relax.
Evening : Chokhi Dhani.
Day 5 : Visit place missed in above Itiniery & Shopping. If you are a
movie lover you can visit very old movie theatre (Raj Mandir ?)
maintained very well

You can visit all this places in Auto Rikshaw except Day 2. No need for any package tour. you can get Guide individually at all historical place in around 150-200 rupees.You can check Arya niwas / Jai niwas websites We had very good experience in JaiNiwas.
