Kashid Beach itself is a small beach which is the main attraction of tourists. Lots of people come there to send the day only and return. We stayed at Prakruti around. Non-veg. days. evenings. friends.

Kashid is a really nice place.... excellent beach, neither too calm nor too violent! Last time I passed from there while returning from Murud-Janjira, I saw there was water sports facility too, speed boats etc. One end of the beach (towards alibaug) is a small chowpatty thronged by day trippers... as a day tripper you will only get snacks like bhaji and wada pav on the beach, there is no good arrangement to rest, bathe with clean water or even proper lunch. So if you want to have a relaxed holiday I suggest you make some arrangements for overnight stay. There are two big good. beach... Janjira (can make a stop at Ganpati temple in Nandgaon), proceed to Janjira fort and can also visit the Datta Mandir at wish.to Sanctuary.at this time of the year (March to June); enter the waters only late evening or early morning if you are prone to sunburns ![]()

Forgot to add few things - in Kashid if you are staying at Kashid Beach Resort, the access from there to the beach takes you to the other side of the beach which is dotted with pebbles and small stones... so proceed to the middle of the beach before you enter the waters, or the other end if you want to be amidst hullabaloo of day trippers ![]()
You can also think of making Murud-Janjira as your base (Murud is a beach village, Janjira is a sea fort just a few Kms from Murud); in but the advantage is it is bang on the beach! There are homestay options at - than in Kashid.
It is a matter of choice between what kind of sea you enjoy - calm one like in Murud, or one that has better and bigger waves (without being dangerous) like Kashid.
