Kutch; places to visit Q&A

Hi,
I am taking a train from Ahmedabad to visit Kutch. Should I get down at Gandhidam or Bhuj to visit little and great Rann of Kutch? Also what are the other places to visit near by? I just have two days to tour the place. What is the mode to go around in this place, can we hire some vehicle?

Two days is bit short to explore a place like kutch. But if you have just two days to spare, plan to visit Dholavira which is the only city of harrappan era discovered in India. It is really amazing. On the way you'll see Rann as well as lot of flemingos.

Other places to visit are Banni area in Khavda island of Kutch (Hodko village is good place to stay), Mandvi beach, Ananddham Nature Cure Centre near Bhachau, Mata nu Madh, Narayansarovar etc.

One good way could be to get down at Bhachau, plan an overnight stay at Ananddham Nature Cure Centre. Visit Dholavira and head back to Ahmedabad through Samakhiyari / Bhachau.
