Avoid weekend at any part of the year to visit Shirdi, especially Sunday as you can expect minimum 2 hours standing in the queue for Darshan of Sai Baba. Ofcourse May is the hottest month and this part of Maharashtra will be little hotter.

Nice to hear that you are planning to visit
May 2nd week will definitely be crowded as vacations have started in many places. Please plan well before you go there. Getting accomodation might be an issue. Weather will be very Avoid week ends and Thursdays.
Have a great darshan and do pray for all of us.

May 2 won't be much of rush being monday, but typically there is more rush during vacations. 1.darshan.
