How is the idea of going to Mount Abu during winters? What all places can we visit there? Suggest me some budget hotels too..

great place to be in winters ! although in december-january, naki lake is frozen. You may not like if you have seen shimla, manali, rohtang etc.

Its good place to be for ppl from gujarat , rajasthan and MP , as its near - just 5/6 hrs drive.

I always enjoy my stay there!

well as far as hotels are concerned, hillock, udai garh, two of which i remember are good ones.

Mount Abu as a hill station is not as beautiful as Darjeeling and other Himalayan hill stations but is still well worth a visit on account of the Dilwara Temples which are really not to be missed. Apart from these there's the Nakki Lake, Guru Shikhar, Brahmkumari's Peace Park, etc.
Winter is a great time to go there as its not crowded. RTDC's Hotel Shikhar is comfortable and reasonable if you are looking for a budget hotel. It gives a good off-season discount in .

Sounds cool! Last year only I visited this place with my husband.Must say its natural beauty(the lush green forested hills ) would left you spellbounded.The mixture of Rajasthani and Gujarati culture can be witnessed in cuisines available there.The famous Delwara temple must not be missed! Nakki lake is the perfect place to spend evenings with your better half/partner along with sunset point.Gaumukh,Achal Garh,Crocodile Park are must go destinations.

hi i went in summer of 2011, the atmosphere there was pleasant.
if planning to go there in winter it would be a gr8 experience and u will njoy roaming there in cold.
the places to visit are guru shikhar, achal garh, shiv temple, peace palace etc.... here are nearly abt 12 points to see....
about hotels we stayed in hotel shikar.... it was good hotel as compared to rates of room. rates were pretty good. but the best part is the view u get from the hotel..... other hotels are there but there rates are higher....
