Mumbai and lonavala

When is the best time of the year to visit Lonavala? Also do we get busses to travel from Lonavala to Mumbai? If there isn’t any frequent busses please let me know of the timings and the hour of journey from these places.

Hi

The best time to visit LOnavala is JUne (After rains till March)

The secenic beauty of this place increases in Rainy seasons and also adds when you have waterfalls all around.

If you want to enjoy lonavala.. go on weekdays so its not crowded.

There are local buses as well as privates vehicles like cabs and taxis also available.

You can go there by Train as well as buses

Have a nice trip..

Best time to visit Lonavala, in my opinion, is the winter months.
Yes, to my knowledge, there are regular bus services to Mumbai from Lonavala.

I guess September to March would be fine. To be more precise, September and October would be ideal, as the waterfalls are more visible that time of the year, just after the mosoons.

Lonavala is about 100 km from mumbai. The journey time would be around 2 hours in a private care and about 3 hours in a bus. There are also frequent bus services including Volvo. The Non-AC takes between INR.200-300 and the AC buses would charge something between INR. 400-600/head. Buses leave from points like Borivili and Kandvili.
