Economical Trip for Nanital and its excursion Q&A

Hi,
I am leaving for Nanital via Train from Delhi on 24th June, 2009 night and want to be in Delhi by 28th Night. I am touring with my wife and two small kids. I want to visit Nanital, Mukteswar and Jim Corbett.
Pl let me know what is the best and economical solution so that my family can enjoy the trip most

u wl b hving 4 days n 3 nights with u... u r travelling by train, its overnight both ways.. i wonder hw u hv planned to reach delhi by 28th night?
anyways, u wl b landing at kathgodam early morning. there r lots of various modes of transports waiting outside station to take u 2 nainital. plan 3 days in nainital, giving one day 4 nearby places like bhimtal, mukhteshwar, ranikhet , naukutiatal etc by deluxe luxury coaches. plan one day 4 corbett- take safari there ( choose between early morning or early eve one ) as per ur schedule. u cn get ur train from ramgarh directly frm corbett.
as for economical - its a very vague term, economical cn b expensive for some!
it wl nt b a peak season, u cn pick place of stay as per ur budget!

Hi, I think advice given by Anurag is good. On 25th you can go for local sightseiing of Nainital and Bhimtal, Sattal, Naukuchital . Next day you can go to Mukteshwar. On 27th visit Ranikhet and from there go to Corbet National Park. You can book KMVN Tallital Sarovar hotel. Happy journy.

You have four effective days in your hand. you will not be able to give justice to all three places (Nainital / Mukteshwar / Corbett) in three days.
Most of your time will go in Travelling only.
Instead I will suggest to enjoy Nainital fully. one day you can do excursion to Sattal / Bhimtal / Naukuchiataal (35-40 km one way journey) and come back to Nainital in the Evening.

I agree with Chirag. opt for just 1 or 2 point else you would end up only travelling. at the end you will feel tired not relaxed especially when you are with kids. trip to all taals can be done during one day, evening for walk in mall rd. or just kids enjoy boating or car ride. corbett also require atleast 2-3 days to x'plore. In corbbett ,would suggest carry dresses for kids that covers body completely (there are chances to get insect allergy that is very painful , my 5 yr kid got allergic there with mosquito bite . wounds ozezes lot of peep and blood and he was unable to walk after 2 days and it is never ending process with each mosquito bite anywhere in the body will make that painful wound , it took six months for the treatment in Delhi ). apply mosquito cream (odomos) in all open part of body ,also carry mosquito repllent(coil nt electric one ) as rain may approach by that time , you never know! My experience says - since you are travelling with kids give only bisleri water to them even in nainital. it will protect them from any stomach infection. and you will enjoy your trip.
