Off beat hill station

Suggest m some offbeat hill stations? I want to visit where there not much of crowd.

Coorg could be one of your choices, a hill station with ample green energy, not crowded (avoid festival seasons). Located at an apprx 300 Kms from Bangalore (via Mysore)-add a 6 Hrs journey extra from Chennai

Locations to be visited

1. Tibetan Monastery
2. Bamboo Forest
3. Elephant Camp
4. Bhagamandala (Triveni sangamam)
5. Thalacauvery

You can visit Kodai kanal (TN). It's very good hill staion & not much crowdy. You can go by train from banglore ( Night journy) & get down in Kodai Road Station & from there take Bus (Rs.20) or Cab (Rs1200).

Hi,

I do not know why you have listed this under chennai. However if you're from TN and are saturated of Ooty, then you have Yelagiri, Yercaud, Coonoor and Kotagiri to look at, if you wish to be in TN itself. Else you can look at Munnar in Kerala. These are the options with decent accommodation. There are many others with limited or exclusive stay options in many parts of South India, which do not qualify as 100% hill stations, but are located closest to some good hills.

If you are talking about hillstations in Tamil Nadu, you can visit Ooty,Kodaikanal,Yercaud, Yelagiri. But i doubt whether these places will be quiet the way you want.For that matter no hill station today is a quiet place to go.Out side Tamilnadu, you can go to places in Karnataka near Mysore and Bangalore which are climatically as good as a Hill station and less crowded.Some of the places are,Coorg,Kabini resorts,Chithradurga,Kadamane, In addition you try some homestay also which are really good and homely.
