Ooty and Coorg vacation

Hey!!

I am taking a vacation of a total of 9 days. I am planning to visit Ooty and Coorg with a day trip to Mysore in the middle. Please tell me which are the other places I could cover along with this. I am very keen on covering as many places as possible on this stretch. Also please tell me what are the the places we could visit in Coorg?

Hi

I have visited ooty recently . You will require 2 full days tour to cover ooty and coonoor .
1. Tour is ooty - Conoor tour
2. Tour is ooty - madumalia .

Coonoor, Ooty, via Kalhatti Ghat to Mudumalai National Park, Bandipur National Park to Mysore, Kaveri Nisarga Dhama, Bylakuppe(Tibetan settlement near Kushalnagar), Jungle Lodges at Dubare Elephant Reserve, Honey Valley Estate towards madikeri.
Spend one night at each underlined location other than Honey Valley where you will need atleast 3 nights with one day trek to Thadiyandemol(the tallest peak in Kodagu).
Another option is to skip Mysore and go towards the Kerala border - Kutta in Coorg and onwards to Wynad in Kerala( as Madkeri will be pretty hot at this time of the year.

Coorg is a beautiful place which you can visit in any month.October to January may ideal time as the rivers are full with water and you can watch falls like Abbe falls I stayed at Veerabhoomi resort in the last week of May and it was very at that time. Cauvery Nisargadhama, Dubare forest and Budha Golden Temple are within 6 to 10 Kms from this resort If you intend to go to Mysore book the resort at Kushalnagar. Start early in the morning to Mercara visit Abbi falls on the way to Mercara and in the evening visit Raja Seat in the evening 6 to 7 pm woth seing musical fountain Come back to kushal nagar and stay Next day you can visit Dubare forest first and then Cauvery Nisargadhama and in the evening you can visit Budha Golden Temple. As far as possible avoid Home Stays unless the owner of the Home stays there.. Coorgies by nature are very good people but to find a real Coorgie is very difficult since 80to 90 percent in Mercara are not Coorgies. If you are vegetarian you get good vegetarian food in Non Vegetarian hotels than pure vegetarian hotels in Kushalnagar. The food supplied by Veerabhoomi Resort is good. while writing these I am not influenced by any body There may be some good Home stays but my experience was worst

FROM MYSORE U CAN START AND DO LOCAL SIGHT SEEING. THERE ARE LOT OF SIGHT SEEING PLACES IN AND AROUND mysore.
CHAMUNDESWARI TEMPLE,
MYSORE PALACE, ZOO,
BRINDAWAN GARDENS ( PREFERABLE FROM 4 TO 8 pm (7 TO 8 PM ) MUSICALFOUNTAIN IS THERE. DONT MISS IT.
LIGHTNING OF PALACE WORTH SEEING (SUNDAYS & ON PUBLIC HOLIDAYS).
YOU CAN DRIVE FROMTHERE TO OOTY.
AN THE WAY YOU WILL GO THROUGH BANDIPUR FOREST (SANCTURY) ON KARNATAKA SIDE & MUDUMALAI FOREST(SANCTURY) ON TAMILNADU SIDE.

COORG & MADIKERI VERY GOOD PLACE LOT OF PLACES TO VISIT.
YOU MAY REQUIRE TWO DAYS HERE.
TALA CAUVERY, RAJAS SEAT, OMKARESWARAR TEMPLE, MADIKERI FORT,
NISARGADAMA, ABBEY FALLS, DUBARA FOREST,GOLDEN TEMPLE, IRUPPU FALLS, NAGARHOLE SANCTURY.
