What are the places to visit in Mysore?

There are many places in Mysore city and also around mysore.
Depending on time at you disposal you may give priority to
1 Mysore Palace.
2.Nandi Bull at Nandi Hills
3. Vrindavan Gardens.
4. Mysore Zoo.

Maharaja's Palace is a must see, a spectacle that is out of the world. See the Dolls Pavilion, Kalayan Mandapa and Public Durbar hall and Private Durbar Hall. There is also a small museum.

Lalitha Mahal Palace

Mysore Zoo (a great place for kids, founded by Maharaja Chamaraja Wodeyar)

Bull Temple

Mysore Rail Museum

Karanji Lake (Has a a butterfly conservatory)

GRS Fantasy park (a water amusement park good for kids)

Datta Peetham

KRS dam

Hi,
On weekdays:( There will be lot of crowds in weekends and you will enjoy the most in Mysore)
1. Zoo
2. Palace
3. Srirangapatna(Get a local guide there for Rs. 500 it will be fun)
4. Bull Temple
5. Brindavan Gardens

On week ends:
You can visit other places mentioned by Mr. Shawn.

visit mysore only on weekends.
go for brindavan garden at evening and stay there up to late night to see illuminated view of garden.
go for palace at evening and and stay there up to late night to see illuminated view of palace.(the lighting of palace is only on weekends.)
spend minimum two days for whole mysore sight seen.
