we planning 4 nos visit manali 13-18dec,09. please suggest
where to Stay (Any Good hotel Names )
Local site Seeing (Travel Agency Names )
Is it Good time to Visit can enjoy the holidays.

Dear Rajesh - December is exremely cold in Manali and you may witness Snow fall also. So keep heavy wollens. You may look for Mahindra Resort, Banon Resort and Log Huts which are among the best and costliest. The sight seeing arrangement can be made at the hotel itself and it all depends on the .
If you have to enjoy Manali, then make a programme somewhere in Sept-Oct. Visit Manali during December only if you all have been to any other hill station in North India like Shimla, Mussorie, Nainital etc., Otherwise don't take a chance due to chill that you will come across in Manali at this time.

Dear Rajesh

Decemeber is not the best time to visit manali. Temperatures get extremely low here.

As for hotels, if you are looking for budget hotels, Hotel Chandramukhi is a good place.

But I would strongly suggest you check out the place any time during June to October. During these times, you can enjoy the place and have a pleasant trip unlike in december where you might be in for some unpleasant surprises. Be warned that it snows heavily in december and many of the places, especially Rohtang pass will be off limits as they will not be accessible.

Hi Rajesh,
Although in my opinion hills (anywhere be it Dharamshala, Dalhousie, McLeodganj, Mussoorie, Manali Nainital, etc.) are all fabulous in winters , however, in case you decide not to go to Manali, you can consider any place in Rajasthan/ UP for a great 3-4 day weekend ..
some options could be Jodhpur, Jaipur, Bikaner, Jaisalmer , Mount Abu, Udaipur etc.
you can infact even club a couple of them as well, say for example, Bikaner and Jaisalmer or Jodhpur and Bikaner or Jaipur and Jodhpur ...
Or can even plan for a trip like Delhi -> Mathura -> Agra -> Bharatpur -> Jaipur -> Delhi with night stays at Agra, Bharatpur and Jaipur..
