I have heard that Puri is known for its beach side hotels so please let me know about the beach side hotels in Puri. Also tell me how do i visit Konarak from there?

Hi Kavya,

PURI has lot of beach resorts & . List of few beach hotels are:

1) Hotel Holiday Resort
2) PanthaNivas (by OTDC)
3) Hotel Toshali Sands
4) Sterling Resort
5) Victoria Club Hotel

If you want to get an experience of Fisherman's village, you can opt for Hotel Naren Palance which is located in the fisherman's village and about 100 mts from sea beach. You may need prior booking for all these . Puri beach is really nice and bigger. Going to Konark is very easy from puri because of good transportation facility. OTDC runs AC buses from PURI for a cost of about Rs.350-375 per person. They have good tour packages. Also, travel desks in hotels offer travel packages by car. OTDC also provides travel packages by car. Konark is just 30 min journey from PURI and has excellent Sun temple. Enjoy your trip.

Off the above, Hans Coco Palm is on the extreme end near the light house. The rest of all are in central locations.

Konark is about 35 km from puri. You have conducted tours of Konark and also other tourist attractions like Udaigiri,Khandagiri,Dhaulgiri,Nangan Kanan, Mukteshwar,Lingeshwar operated by Orissa Tourism and other private operators. Numerous offices of tour operators are scattered along the Sea Beach Road. You cna even hire private cars for the purpose.

Puri is one of the most popular tourist destination in the eastern part of India. There are hotels near the beach and the temple. There are lots of good hotels in Puri. Online booking is available for most of these Puri hotels.
