We are planning to come to Wayanad On julay 4 2009.But it is a rainy season now.Is it possible for us to climb to edakkal caves?

You can visit as the monsoon would be late this year. Make sure you wear comfortable (stretchable) clothing. Wearing tights one cannot climb the Edakkal caves. It is a marvel. Do not miss it. Also make sure you visit Phantom Rock on the way and the Waynad tribal museum.

You should be able to. My friend and I did it in the rains and it was beautiful. carrying an umbrella is a good idea, though you might get sudden gusts of wind as you go up. Wear comfortable shoes with non-slippery soles.

Have fun! Its an incredible walk up. carry something light to eat as well.
