Whats so great?

Is there any timings to visit the historical monuments in Hampi? If its just ruins what's so special about that place? Will i get in any tour guide to help me explore the place and show me the attractions and tell me about it? I have always heard Hampi is a famous place and a must visit [place but couldn go now i finally have the chance and i want to see the place fully. So how many days will i need to stay there? And which are the better hotels to stay in Hampi?

Good question! Why do people from all over the world flock to Egypt; if it not a site to appreciate the grandeur of the civilisation which existed thousands of years ago.Similarly,Hampi also stands evidence to the glory of Krishnadevaraya period in our history which we have only read in history books. The ruins tell us how prosperous they were and much excelled in architectural work. For example, in the Virupaksha Temple in Hampi, the priciple of photography is depicted and the musical pillars in the Vitthala Temple show people of those period are very intelligent and very hard working. The timings for visit are restricted by the day day light only. Yes; you can get guides for showing you places;but beware of touts and unscrupulous people as in any tourist place. Hire a guide only suggeted by the Hotel where you are going to stay. You will need only a day to see Hampi ruins. There are good .
