Hello There

First of all thank you very mcuh for reading long email

I have below tour plan

Amritsar - Dalhousie - Khajjiar - Chamba - Bhamour in July Second Week

We are three couples with 4 kids (10yrs / 7yrs / 5yrs/ 4yrs)

We have booked rail ticket from

Mumbai to Amritsar , golden temple mail .. reaching ASR on Sunday 8th Jully 2012, 06:30 AM.

My return ticket in on Saturday, 14July2012, Golden temple mail.

So I have 6 nites to spend.

My plan is

Amritsar --> 1 nite
Dalhousie --> 1 nite
Khajjiar --> 1 nite
Chamba --> 1 nite
kaltop --> 1nite
Bhamour --> 1 nite.

It is OFF season so planning to go without Hotel Booking.

I am planning to take Innova from Amritsar to through out the journey .. Have enquired and getting cost around 2800 PER DAY.

Please suggest some good hotel around 1000/1500. I am planning to stay in Forest Guest Kaltop.

Please share your suggestion for nite stay planning. Place selections .. any tour tip.

Dear Pragnesh,
i'm sorry I can't give any suggestions for the latter part of your trip after Amritsar as I haven't been to any of the places except Dalhousie decades ago.
I would suggest you look up hotels and rates online before departure so you can have some idea of rates according to your requirement and don't wander around with such a large group with children. We did not hire a car in Amritsar, preferring to use taxis or rickshaws to the Golden Temple.

Dear Pragnesh,
Amritsar, you can stay at Hotel God Gift, 580/9, Sultan Wind Gate, Mahna Singh Road, Amritsar. Ph. 0183-5062448, 08054616155, very close to Golden Temple (800/- to 1000/- for A/C room). I stayed in this hotel last week and is comfortable. If you negotiate, it come below 800.

Other places I have not visited but if you refer maps, I feel some are close by and you can stay at one place and cover 2-3 destinations. so you need not change hotel every night.
