hi
I would like to know two things, would be happy if someone could help

1) how far is alleppey from calicut. and what is the best transport option( train/bus) between the two centres
2) how far is palghat from calicut. and what is the best transport option?

i would like to be guided about the bus/train( name/numbers/timings..anything is welcome) since i have a plan of travel in kerala coming up this month.

Hi Hema,
Take a bus from Calicut bus stand. A direct bus to Allepey may not be very frequent in that case take a bus to Ernakulam (very frequent) and then change over to another bus to Allepey from there. I would advice hire a taxi/vehicle from Calicut to Allepey via the famous Guruvayoor temple and elephant orphange nearby which can break your journey into exact half. A little costly but this way you would be able to do sightseeing also. You can also stop at Cochin on the way and enjoy a boat ride in the Cochin harbour. Without a halt the journey would be about 6 hrs.

from blore...how do i get there if i were to do the bus.?
