what may be the car rent from njp to upper pelling (though we are 6 memebers,but 10 passengers car we have to take)

From N.J.P to Pelling by Mahindra, qualish , Max (don't take tata sumo, its very light, not suitable for hilly road), I think it will take 3000 to 5000/- (to be decided by bargain) , because we went on 2010, December on 25th December, 9 persons in our team, from N.J.P to Pelling direct, that time the car rent was 3000/-*, 3500/-, 4000/-. In my last post I have given you some car driver's number, you may contact him, he may guide you properly.I am giving you one no 9800568436 (Mr. Subir), he has hotel at Siliguri, he can guide you.

As informed to you in my last post , you may talk to Mr. Topzer Bhutia ( 97330 76457 ) of Pelling , who will assist you . Hire Mahindra Scorpio , Mahindra Bolero , Mahindra Xylo , Mahindra Maxx or Toyota Innova for smooth & safe journey .

Hi, i went to Pelling in the middle of Dec. 2010. At that time the rent was Rs 1800/- by Mahindra Max. But you can avail Pre-paid services just outside of NJP Rly. Station. at that time it was Rs 1750/- I did not availed that bcoz it was come to my knowledge after renting the car as stated.

Hi,
Being a regular visitor to North East i will recommend you to take car from prepaid taxi stand from NJP. It is cheaper. If going in off season then bargain for the price otherwise It will cost around Rs. 3000/- max. The road is hilly and you can opt for Qualis, Travera, Scorpio, etc.

Hi!! being a frequent visitor to sikkim i have come across cars being rented at an average tag of Rs1900 to Rs 3000, a mahindra max will be Rs2200 to pelling from Njp and a Innova will ask for Rs3000 to pelling from Njp.Anyway u do have the liberty to bargain and it sure pays if u r such.Happy journey
