Hyatt stay- Kolkata!

I am going to Kolkata for a business trip. I would like to explore the city. Can anyone tell me about the place? I will be putting up in Hyatt Regency. So please tell me the places which are convenient from that .How is the location anywayaz

If a car picks you up at the airport, it's fine. That car shall take you to Hyatt hotel on the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass. Otherwise, please do take a pre-paid taxi from the counter inside the air port near the exit gate. Please do not try to take a taxi from the taxi stand. They generally cheat a new comer by over charging and all most all of them has fare meters tampered. Best is to ask the Hotel for a pick up and drop back which they generally do in all pre-booked PAx.

2: You may take a walk to the SWABHUMI on the opposite side of the hotel. You can buy many interesting souvenirs, dresses on sale at the shops there. (3) Please call your Travel Agent to get the name and contact phone numbers of their correspondent/counterpart in Kolkata to rent you a car or please call 8902232381 for giving you a car that you opt to travel in during your stay in the city. It is the safer way to enjoy your stay and visits to different places of interests (A) NICCO PARK (B) ZOO (C) National Museum (D) Victoria Memorial (E) st. Paul Cathedral (F) Planetarium (G) Rabindra sadan (H) Nandan (I) Fort William (J) Band strand (K) All India Radio, Netaji Indoor Stadium & Eden Gardens (L) High Court (M) Howrah bridge (M) GPO (N) Writers' Building the State Government's Head Quarters (P)Kolkata Police Head Quarters called Lal Bazar (Q) Rabindra Nath Tagore's house at Jora Sanko (R) Kolkata Corporation/Seat of Mayor of Kolkata & New Market (S) Kali temple at Kalighat (T) Hooghly Dock (U) Second Hoogly Bridge (V) Botanical Garden (W) Bengal Engineering & Science University BESU at Sibpur (X) City Centre I at Salt Lake & Sector V at Salt Lake the IT Hub (Y) Indian Institute of Management at Joka on diamond Harbour Road (Z) Under Ground Train Ride from one End to the Other End of this City of Joy. You may go to Dakshineswar Temple to North west end of the city and a Tram ride if you wish to or ask your Hotel Trave Desk to book you on to West Bengal Tourism or Indian Tourism Bus Coach Travel throughout the day. You can go to a steamer ride on the Ganges between Kolkata and Howrah and if you spare a night you may go to Raichak or visit the Sunderbans. Other Places of Interests are (i) Jadavpur University (ii) South city mall (iii) Door Darshan kendra & Golf green (iv) Stadium next to Hyatt & City Centre II at Rajarhat Township and savour good food any where in Kolkata, the City that is throbbing with warmmth of heart, the cultural & education city of India and many other that justify one's visit to this city, the original capital of India that was moved to Delhi.

There are different places you can visit in Kolkata like Mother House, Dakshineshwar temple, Birla Planetorium , College street etc... all these are very good places and nearby to ur hotel..
