I’m planning a Honeymoon trip to Ooty and Kodaikanal in the month of May.
I have a few questions in mind – maybe someone can help me out?

1) Planning to reach Ooty on 16th May. I’m looking for an economical hotel, my budget is Rs 2500 – Rs 3000 per night. Which would be the best hotel to try out with this budget? (Preferably a Honeymoon Suite?)
2) Would these hotels provide private car service for when I’d like to go for sightseeing?
3) Is there a Bus service to Kodaikanal from Ooty or would I have to book a private car for it ?
4) Looking for a similar economical hotel in Kodaikanal as well with the same budget of Rs 2500 – Rs 3000. Would these hotels provide private car service for when I’d like to go for sightseeing? Any suggestions ?

Dear frnd,
In the month of may, it is full season there, all the hotels will charge maximum. I think there wont be any direct bus service from OOty to Kodai. So you must hire a taxi from Ooty to Kodai. You try to search the hotel through the net and also see the review from this website itself. Its quite helpful. moreover try to book now itself....

Hi,
You can go for Hotel Hill Country. Its in Lovedale. Few km from ooty. They have another hotel on Kodai as well. If you book both togather then you may get better deal. Regarding traveling, its is better to hire Indica from Ooty to Kodai. Actually you can ask hotel to arrange for same.

hi,
In Ooty , i suggest book a hotel lil outside the city, city is too much crowded. Hotel sherlock has awesome view and gud service. Mostly all hotels can provide you with taxi service (paid).

Hotel Ponmari Residencyy is good budget hotel in ooty. I have been to ooty in Dec month. The service is good. for local sight seeing you can get taxi from hotel's travel desk.
Food quality is not as expected.
