Hi, I'm new to the site and would really appreciate some input from some of you seasoned travelers. We are planning on having our honeymoon in Sikkim in 10-16 june 09. Is it safe to go to this time since that may be the rainy days.Is it better/more economic to plan things out ourselves, or go with a travel agency package? If so, can you recommend a good agency?

Since it is your first visit and you are on honeymoon, I strongly recommend you leave the travel planning to a local travel agency.

Hi Gautam!

Its indeed a good idea to go to Sikkim on Honeymoon trip. I also visited Sikkim last Feb on my Honeymoon trip and it was marvelous. But in June i think it will rain there. In Gangtok you may stay in Oriental, Anola, Bayul.

well i agree with wht people have mentioned above but do not agree on the hotels mentioned or claiming it will rain.. i am born & bought up in sikkim.. its a nice place for honeymoon..... well u could stay in hotel delamere as it gives u honeymoon packages too...
