Taxi From Katni to Bandhavgarh Q&A

Hi I am reaching Katni on 25th of Dec and the proceeding to bandhavgarh by taxi for a distance of approx 100Km Resort guys are asking for Rs2500-2800/- which i think is very steep considering the fact that that Bandhavgarh is a fairly well vsisted place and people are going up and down from Katni very frequently. Can some one suggest name and no of a tourist/taxi operator with whom i can get in touch directly and arrange for a pick on 25th and drop back on 28th.

AC taxi fare in October was 2200 one way, which is similar across operators (there is just one operator in Umaria who supplies to all resorts). you can check out the locally available cabs at the railway station (but my guess is they will also charge close to or the same amount, or tell u they'll not go).

Rates for taxi from Katni to Bandhavgarh is just Rs. 1,300.00 to 1,600.00 and it can be arranged by the resort where you have booked rooms, because there is no taxi operator in Bandhavgarh, but personal taxies are available and those can be arranged by the Hotels/Resorts/Lodges at Bandhavgarh, so you contact to your hotel for same.

As per teltalk with You and Mr. Shariq and as per your programme to reach katni on 20th and drop at Bhandhavgarh and again pick up from Bhandavgarh and drop at Jabalpur on 23rd December by non AC indiaca will cost you Rs 3500/-.

Book your jungle safari in Advance coz their is limited entry to the forest. If you call me up i may provide you the gypsy person number.

If you try to compare taxi rates with that in Jaipur It is not possible as your JAIPUR CITY is much cheaper than MP.
