i nd my husband want to visit kasauli end of this month.....i would like to know how to reach there from jallandhar nd where to stay?????

You can go by train till kalka railway station and after that you can hire taxi till kasauli. If you want to be away from city life and want to stay in nature lap then Winnies holiday inn is best option. other wise there are many options to stay in kasauli.

for a room with the view of the valley.

Hello Sharmila,
You can reach Kasauli by taking a Bus to Chandigarh and then catching a bus to Kasauli from there. Please call the CHD bus terminal because major routes are to Shimla and this is 12 kms off the main route. Else you can reach Kalka station and catch a mini train to Dharampur station (the scenic beauty is worth a watch from train, though it takes longer to reach by train). From Dharampur, you can get a Taxi easily.
Staying in Winnies is good, good helpful staff, but the food was just OK. Also this is located aroung 6 kms before Kasauli, so to visit Kasauli itself you will have to hire a taxi (that costs arnd 900 rs for a kasauli visit , three four points covered). If you want to stay close, stay in Ros Common(HPTDC). They serve good food and located right in Kasauli...everything is walking from the place. But this hotel has limited rooms, so make reservations in advance. I hope this helps.. If you are going by your own vehicle, you can stay in Winnies which is quite serene location.
