Lahaul-Spiti Q&A

Hi

I am planning to go to Lahaul- Spiti between the last week of September and the first week of October. Please tell me a convenient route to visit them as I would be coming from Calcutta, though I don't mind taking the Manali route via Delhi.

I had travelled from simla to manali via lahaul spiti some 8 years back .. while doing that to cross river b4 reaching to kinnaur had to give up vehicle as bridge on river spiti was damaged so crossing was possible only for human on feet.. it did incur some additional expenses at mercy local taxis..
With all difficulties it is most memorable journey..
If possible do maitain diary... as i do not recollect names of beautiful spots i visited enroute..
