Hello me and my wife are planing to celebrate our first anniversary in Goa. But I have never been to Goa before. Could some one advice me which part of goa is good/safe and enjoyable..

I know it is monsoon but we planned to Goa..any tips how can we travel around to different beaches..?

If I do not stay on a beach resort how easy is to commute to the beaches. Please suggest

Congrats! and wish you a very happy married life. Goa is the place if you like beaches and sea. I suggest you stay in North Goa - that's a more happening place - lots of foreign (as well as local) tourists. You may choose a place anywhere between baga, calangute or vytheri beaches. Anjuna and Vytheri are advisable only for short visits; stay near baga or calangute. I stay at a place called Cavala, which is very near to Baga beach - reasonably priced and a lovely place to stay. There are lots of shops near these beaches for you to buy lovely tops, shorts, skirts, beads etc. - I picked up some tops and a buddha painting on cloth. There is also a disco near Baga called Titos; have mouth watering pastries at Britos on Baga beach and watch the sun set, while other tourists wind up their rounds of para gliding and water scooter rides.

Hire a bike; Goa roads are very good to drive; so enjoy the scenic beauty as you take a ride. If you are a lover of sea food, please make it a point to visit souza lobo on calangute beach and Ritz restaurant in Panjim. Don't forget to take your camera and do post some of your pics on holidayIQ. Happy Honeymooning
