Hi,

Plan to make a day trip to Bheemeshwari one of the coming sundays (probably 6th of July). Idea is to take my 5 year old son out and give him some experience of nature (instead of being couped up in the city)! I need some info regarding the place:

- What are the activities one can look at for a day trip - plan to leave around 8am and be back by 5pm.
- Can one indulge in activities like fishing, coracle rides, etc independent of the JLR camps, i.e., are there any other operators there for these kind of activities?
- Again, for lunch/snacks, etc does one have to depend on JLR? If so, do we have to inform them in advance?

Will appreciate any info on the above.

I think Jungle Lodges have a day visit to Bheemeshwari too. But in a day trip the only thing one would be able to to is go on a coracle ride to the other side of the river and fish. This is arranged by Jungle Lodges as part of the package.
If you stay for a day then one can enjoy the coracle ride & fishing in the afternoon,barbacue in the night and trekking in the morning.
Food is available at the resort and prior booking has to be made with Jungle Lodges.

Jungle Lodges is a good place to stay in. You can opt for Tents or A/C rooms. Tents are pretty good and will give you the "nature" affect too. Stay for sat and sun because the bonfire is good. Coracle rides, fishing, rafting etc are stuff that you can do there. But you have to book in advance and if possible go in a group - thats more fun.

Food will be provided in JLR but if you have your own cooking grills you can do it yourself too. Food in JLR was good. Have to inform them when you land there. enjoy your trip !!

Yes, I checked up and they do have a day visit package which includes lunch, coracle ride, tea, etc. Though the idea of a stay over is very tempting, I may opt for the day trip since I will be traveling alone with my son and he will be doing such a trip for the first time - not sure how he will take it...
