I would like to receive some information on how to reach to Bheemeshwari from Bangalore. What is the best mode of getting to the place and what are the things we can see in a one day tour. Hi,
The only place to stay in Bheemashwari is Jungle Lodges. Check out their website http://www.junglelodges.com. They have started offering online bookings as well.
For the travel to the camp, there is no other option except own car, or hired vehicle, since the camp is deep inside the sanctuary, and no public transport goes there (maybe one bus a day, but you know how this rural route buses are).

Hi,

Please check out the website of Jungle Lodges & Resorts for the map and call them at Bangalore for exact driving instructions. I have visited the resort at Galibore which is reached via Kanakapura. To reach Bheemeshwari one has to travel further upstream hence by road you can turn off at Sathanur and reach Bheemeshwari via Muttatti forests. Else, you can reach Halagur and go to Bheemeshwari from there. Own transport - preferably a 4-wheeler - is a good mode to choose.

About the activities, it vastly depends on the season. In summer, water is in puddles and you get to camp right on the course of the river. In monsoons, you get to stay within your tent! Most other times, you can just laze on the hammock, go for an elephant ride, angle for Mahseer, play Antakashari around the bonfire or cricket in the day time. You can also get into the water!

I agree with vishav . The only place to stay is the bheemeshwari fishing camp at the website junglelodges.com . And the only way to get there is own vehicle or hired transport . The roads are pretty rough and even though 100 kms is a small distance , it will be slow progress due to the state of the roads. You can book the tents or the Log huts there . Saturdays are usually packed so u need to book in advance .
Once you book they send you a map along with the receipt and its quite easy to find once you have the map in place . Would recommend the resort very highly . Its worth the stay
