Can anyone suggest a weekend getaway from Bangalore otehr than Coorg? Looking for forest and pleasant cool weather

Rachel - At this time of the year, most weekend places around Bangalore should be cool. Why dont you try Wayanad in North kerala? Has forest, hills, estates etc. A bit like Coorg but different.

go to ooty, its a best place , via mysore, u can go to 2 sanctuary in between Bangalore & ooty ,bandipur sanctuary- for tigers & madhumalai forest.mysore itself is a tourist place with many attractions for more than 2 days

Hi Rachel,

Sakleshpur and areas around have some very nice home stays and it will be a nice experience. The weather should be cool too. Other alternative is Wayanad which has many accommodation options set against thick greenery.

hi... You can check http://www.junglelodges.com .... they have a lot of wildlife resorts around bangalore.. Not hill stations though.. but will be cool considering the winters creeping in.. have a fun filled holiday...

u can visit kemmanagundi near chickmagalur around 200kms from blore, its cool and nearby u have waterfalls etc
