Hi

Am planning for a honeymoon trip to Shimla- Kullu -Manali- Chandigarh during 22nd July to 30 July. I want to know about the weather particularly about rain. Would it rain heavily?. Is it worth going during this period?. Please give me suggestion on this.

Hi Kumaran,
The time period you have mentioned will be full of rains and landslides. There may not be much problem going upto Chandigarh or Shimla but reaching Kullu-Manali may be a problem. And even if you reach there you may be stranded somewhere due to floods/landslides. Also you can not enjoy the scenic beauty there in rains as it will be clowdy. You can plan a trip to Kodai or Ooty instead as weather will be better there during this period.

July is rainy. However, since rains have started early they are likely to end by then too.. It is also the best season for leh ladakh and trekking.

However because of marriage season, there are a lot of honeymooners in July and August.
