I am planning a trip to Manali from June 22 - 26. However, I hear it is raining in Manali now. Is it ok to go now. I have 2 kids travelling with me so do not want to take any kind of risk. Would we be able to go to Rohtang. Would appreciate an early response because I need to confirm my bookings soon. thx.
yess u r right . this is not the right time to go to manali , as there is danger of land slides too & u r with children..better avoid it. more advise alwayz welcome.
weather is unpredictable at hills. since you are going with kids, u need to have an idea about weather forecast. In case of snowfall, you will be able to go upto halfway to Rohtang i.e. upto Marhi. In case you need any local contact nos. of Manali hotels, cab services etc. just to have an idea of weather, please do write.
Dear Neha, Travelling to any hill station after the onset of monsoons is definitely avoidable and particularly with children, and that too to Manali. Rohtang Pass is at a great height [even compared to Manali] and the road is reasonably treachorous even on the best of days. You may consider dropping the idea of Manali this year and could probably consider going there next year, sometime in May. Regards,
NO idea. Travel advisory on weather conditions are not subject to earlier visits. SUggest you call the HPTDC travel agent in every state capital and check out. As you know monsoon has reached Delhi much ahead of time. So this year's suggestion may not be valid for next year.
Would recommend not going to Manali, since it has been raining regularly. Even if you reach there, though some road stretches as you get closer to Manali are a little treacherous, you would be restricted to the mail Manali area and wouldn't be able to go to near by areas. The real attraction of Manali is the surrounding areas like Rohtang, the Solang Valley and hence I would not recommend going there now.
Hi according to me manali wouldn't be advisable.. as there must be lot of rain and u have to enquire abot rohtang passs according to me can go.. as i have stayed there till 4th june max.. no idea later ..but still u can try as its beautiful place ... if r looking for some cozy holidays or relaxing holidays u can go to manali very romantic it would be ...n if intend to rom around it wouldn't be so much entertaining...any more queries..feel free to email me on [Moderator-This email id is hidden.
