hi,

i m planning to visit srinagar in the month of may for my honeymoon. i have 6n/7d for srinagar, gulmarg, pahalgam and sonmarg. i want to know, how feasible it is to book hotels in private taxi for my entire tour? any taxi fare approximation would be helpful.

Due to peak season in month of May at Kashmir....I suggest to book all trip well in advance...You will enjoy month of may very beautifully due to sunny weather...

Hi Hardik,

Yeap the month of May can be really busy . in fact CROWDED.and I guess you should book in advance.unless you love haggling and looking arround(which I guess you may not like ...with your bride).Yeas places like Gulmarg,Pahalgham amd Sonamarg are really beautiful in this month.
You can visit all the sighsteeing places and in May the fares go up depending on the rush.but not much...........You can have nice walks arround Srinagar and you would love it (if it is sunny).If you feel like you can contact <http://kashmirvacations.googlepages.com> we loved staying with them and their itineraries are wonderfull...write then and see if they have a place in May????

Hey last(not the least) there are also buses going to Sightseeing places in May and yes much cheaper ..........

well as verybody has written that Kashmir in May will be very crowded so book your holiday well in advance. I had stayed at Hotel Madhuban in Srinagar. They did all the planning for the hotel stay & daily sightseeing including transportation.
