can anybody tell me hotel daspraksh or paradise which will be okay for 1night 2days budget stay in mysore, want to know whether the rooms are spacious,neat,
also i have heard that someone can buy small gift items in chamundi hilltop temple in lesser price,is that true?

hotel dasaprakash is in the center of the city. clean, affordable in the range of 400-700. the paradise is in a suburb known as yadavagiri. very calm and peaceful area. range 1000-2500.

thanks np, another thing is that we will be heading towards cochin/kochi from here by bus, that will be convenient for us?

Hi!
You can buy small gift items in main Mysore town. THere is a small but beautiful rail museum also in Mysore which is worth visiting.
Mysore to Cochin is around 470 Km. i.e.14-15hrs. by bus which will be quiet tiresome as the roads in Karnataka are very bad. You can alternatively go up to Kozhikode(Calicut) by bus 216Km. i.e. 5hrs. and board a train for Kochi 4-5 hrs.

thanks sanjay, actually i wanted to mean whethere bus stand is close by this hotel or not,also i have heard that chamundi hill offers the same items which are availbale in town but in lesser price

You can also consider Hotel Roopa which is also centrally located and pretty much near the Palace as well. A clean Non-AC double room will cost about Rs. 900 per night.
