Anonya, did you get your "Ooty chocolates" eventually?

I would just like to add from my own experience that Ooty and other hill station chocolates taste a lot better in the respective hill stations than when you bring them down to the plains. On our first trip to the Nilgiris some years ago, we brought copious quantities of these chocolates to Mumbai. Sadly, they did not taste particularly great in Mumbai, certainly not worth the effort of carting them there!

i think you are so right, since last time i bought chocolates in kodai but surprisingly we didnt like it much in the plain, perhaps the mist,fog, clouds,and chilled atomsphere togetherly make the chocolates even more testier,
this time i didnot get much time other than sari/ornament-shopping in mysore ,but next time when i wll be visiting coorg- coonoor i will definitely try for ooty chocolates there and surely relish /finish them all in the mountain laps and cart only the sweet memories of sweet chocolates!
