Nice time to visit nasik. Dont miss chicken (cooked marathi village style) at Hotel Divtya Budhlya near Bhosla Military school. For exhaustive list of sites: http://www.holidayiq.com/Nasik-Sightseeing-484.html

Nasik is basically a Holi city. You can visit various religious places but the only place for real picnic fun, near Nasik, is Bhandardhara or Wilson dam which is apx 75 to 80 kms from nasik.Great views, waterfall, huge lake, boating etc.-all for a great picnic.

If you guys want to have some fun, then I suggest a visit to Sula Vineyards.
Tour of the Sula estate

Its beautiful Tasting Room & Wine Bar, with its magnificent view of the vineyards and the back waters of Gangapur Lake, offers to its guest the perfect atmosphere to enjoy our great wines and cheeses. All this while enjoying the perfect sunset from the balcony.

They conduct a vineyard & winery tour, followed by a wine tasting every hour, starting from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm and takes about 45 minutes. The tour comprises of a visit around the Sula estate (Vineyards, Amphitheater, Restaurant, and Cellar, around the Bottling Plant etc.) and the tasting includes a selection of 3 premium wines and a souvenir. Special charges for students are Rs. 100/- per person. We are open on all days except government declared "dry days".

Food

Their estate now boasts of a beautiful Italian restaurant, Little Italy @ Sula, located only a minute stroll from our already popular Tasting Room. This open air restaurant has a picturesque view of our lush vineyards, the rolling Nashik hills and beautiful Gangapur Lake in the background. The décor of the restaurant truly replicates the feel of dining at a rustic Italian villa. You can select the menu of your preference from a variety of authentic Italian cuisine consisting of wood fired pizzas, hand crafted pastas, and delicious desserts. They also offer several soups, salads and appetizers for diners looking for something on the lighter side. Little Italy @ Sula is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.

they have also introduced another restaurant in the estate - Soma @ Sula, with its specialty Indian cuisine. You can select the menu of your preference from a variety of kebabs, curries & briyani's. Soma @ Sula is open full day, throughout the week.
Thanks
Edgar
