Road Trip To Lahaul and Spiti from Delhi

Hello Everyone,

I am planning a road trip from New Delhi to Lahaul and Spiti in the month of August this year(somewhere around mid-august). It would be likely a 6 day trip.Could somebody please advise is the time enough for the trip. I would like to know what is the best route that one can follow to reach there.

After doing some search on the internet, the best route to my knowledge is to go via Manali- Rohtang and then to Kazo.

Also I would like to know what all activities we can do in Lahaul and Spiti apart from admiring the scenic beauty.Because I have read some of the forums that we can do camping and trekking there. Is it really possible ?

As for activities, just admiring teh sceic beauty itself will take up most of the time...
In general, you can take it as a good trekking experience and also visit Buddhist monasteries for some spiritual experience...
