My overall expeerience was wonderful. A secret......I visited Carlton Hotel after 25 years. 25 years ago I came here after my wedding on my Honeymoon and 25 years latter I visited same hotel to celebrate my Silver Wedding annivarsary. It was a special day in my life and Hotel Carlton and their employees really made it a special event of my life. The stay was unforgettable, comfortable and enjoyable. My best expeerience was when we went out on sight seeing using Hotel\'s Bus the driver cum Guide was full of energy and information which actually bound us with the souroundings and made us enjoy the day... 25 years ago it was run by a Parsi Family (and I am also a Parsi) and this time it belonged to Raheja group but the service I found was equally good both times.

Best Experience: I would say each and every event was luxorious and enjoyable. The sigh seeing was special, the dinning hall was special. I wish to make a special mention of Mr Siva the head attendant in Dinning Hall who would go to each and every gust to ensure he was getting food of his choice and would talk to them to make them comfortable. I do not remember the name but the lady attendant in dinning room was equally good and would communicate with all laddies sitting in dinning room to ensure they were being served with their requirments. It was wonderful while Luxorious but homely expeerience. Thanks to Hotel Carlton.

Worst Experience: None. I just have one remark to make. Save Kodaikanal. I see it becoming commercial place and if this continues soon it will loose its wonderful charm. Don\'t let that happen

The Carlton is quite worthy of its reputation of being the best resort/ hotel in Kodaikanal, a position it has held for a long time.
The location is pretty, just adjacent to Kodai lake and the resort itself is spread over a large area, beautifully landscaped and impressively laid out.
The mix of activities available for a family with kids is amazing, from the boat club that offers \'shikara\' rides to a cycling rink with bicyles for all ages, badminton, table tennis, hammocks all around, an activity room with lots to do, a reasonable library, and lovely play area for toddlers too.
The health club/ spa is good, although the peak season rush made any treatments a bit of a rushed affair.
The staff is courteous and helpful--geared to meet all your needs!

Best Experience: 1. The restaurant offered a great fare for breakfast and meals. The staff led by one Mr Senthil was always willing to do the extra bit for our kids\' requirements.
2. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped. The rooms on the upper floors offer a great view of Kodai lake.

Worst Experience: No worst experience to speak of, but some areas for improvement:
1. The room service menu could do with better choices and probably faster service.
2. The travel desk seems to offer the most expensive deals in town. But are willing to climb down if you ask.
3. House-keeping, though quite good, could become a bit more meticulous. We found the area under the beds a bit dusty.

one of the most pleasurable stay ever. It has the best location/view overlooking the kodai lake and a 5 star in every sense; be it service, food etc

Best Experience: had a 1.5 year old child with me. they would entertain any request at any time and even offered to baby sit during meals

Worst Experience: none

We were there for 3 days, the views from the hotel are amazing, the staff is very supportive round the clock. But the best part was that there was something to do all the time in and around the hotel.

Best Experience: cycling around the lake and going shopping to nearby food world... it was like forgotten times. Who cycles in the city anymore .... plus you can never find such clean surroundings in any city anymore.
