Enjoy a Bird Watching tour on your own. Take a walk through the surrounding lush green thickets, click pictures of world's most beautiful birds such as Asian Brown Flycatcher, Black-naped Monarch, Dark-fronted Babbler, Rufous Babbler, Chestnut and Velvet-fronted Nuthatches, Crimson-backed Sunbird, Bar-winged Flycatcher Shrike, Bronzed Drongo, Chestnut-shouldered Petronia, Ceylon Frogmouth and the Brown-wood Owl. After breakfast, proceed for Plantation walk. Follow the spice trail with our guides, and see where the incredible stuff in your cuppa and kitchen cabinet comes from. Coffee, cocoa, cardamom, oranges, betel and jackfruit grow on the estate. The rest of the day is free or visit the tribal village of Coorg on your own. Take a long and relaxing visit to tribal village Coorg and interact with the exotic and friendly tribes; the Kurubas. Learn about their daily routine, culture and tradition. Sing to their beautiful tunes and dance to their upbeat songs! The tribal's are known for their great hunting skills. Most of their weapons are made from the locally available resources. After breakfast proceed for local sightseeing of Coorg visiting places; Omkareshwar Temple, constructed by Linga Rajendra II in 1820, is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is built in a Hindu-Mohammedan style of architecture, which consists of a central dome and four turrets in the corners. According to a religious belief of the locals here, this temple was constructed by the king to appease the spirit of a saint Brahmin whom he had killed himself in order to fulfil his political ambition. It said that the Brahmin became a Brahmarakshasa, who kept bothering the king until he brought a Shiva Linga from Kashi and installed it in the temple. Since then, this temple has become a prominent place of Hindu worship that is visited by thousands of pilgrims each year. Bylekuppe Golden Temple - There are a lot of Buddhist monasteries set up in Bylekuppe region of Coorg. This Golden temple also is a part of Namdroling Monastery and has an interesting architecture which makes it different from the rest of the other monasteries. Abbi Falls - The Abbi or Abbey falls are one of the most scenic waterfalls in this part of Coorg. This shower is located amongst lush coffee plantations. One has to travel 10km from down town to get here. All around this place, there are enough sights to behold. Trekking trails are littered around the falls region. To get a better view of these falls, you can walk over the hanging bridge. After sightseeing transfer back to hotel for lunch. The day is at leisure for independent activities.
