Kochi (Cochin) - Day 1
On arrival at Cochin International Airport, you are greeted and escorted to the historic Willington Island. In Cochin, you may explore the ancient harbour, with its rich colonial past, the old spice market at Mattancherry, the antique shops on Jew’s street, the Synagogue, the Dutch palace and of course, the famous Chinese fishing nets, St. Francis Church and David Hall (CGH Earth Art Gallery). In the evening head for the famous ‘Harbour Cruise’. As the day falls, come to your hotel, Brunton Boatyard for a comforting sleep after an eventful day.
Kochi (Cochin) - Day 2
After breakfast, proceed in boat, and then by road to Marari Beach. Check-in to an independent villa at the Marari Beach Resort. Here, it isn't just the sand and the sea but the living environment that surrounds it that will add to your charm. Let us be clear, The Marari Beach is not the place for a raucous Beach holiday. There are no real parties here. No noisy water scooters pierce the silent breeze enjoyed by those seeking to rejuvenate away from the stress of the city life and experience a completely new place. After lunch in the restaurant, it is time to relax in the coconut grove. And once the evening comes, you will be occupied with good music and cooking classes, followed by a delicious dinner. After all this, enjoy a peaceful sleep at your villa in Marari Beach Resort.
Kochi (Cochin) - Day 3
After a morning Yoga class followed by a hearty breakfast, explore the area and nearby fishing villages on a bicycle or take a dip in to the sea. The Marari beach is usually deserted, except for a few other guests and the local fishermen. After a delicious lunch, the day is at your leisure. We strongly recommend walking across the road to the hotel’s organic farm, from where you get the freshest vegetables and fruits for lunch. This is the last chance where you can approach the Chef for any assistance/clarifications regarding the recipes you would have collected over the past three/four days. After dinner, walk back to your cottage for a peaceful sleep.
Kumarakom - Day 1
After breakfast, you will drive back down to the coast, to this melodically named town of Kumarakom on the banks of Lake Vembanad. Here, you hop on to a boat to Coconut Lagoon, an eco-friendly resort created from restored heritage homes, set in a web of canals on the banks of the Kavanar River. After a scrumptious lunch at Coconut Lagoon, the evening finds you on a sun-set cruise on the lake, in a converted rice boat adrift to a flute accompaniment. After cruise, it is time to learn how to cook some authentic Keralan dishes in the cooking demonstration class organised by the Chef. The resort gives an opportunity to see some traditional Art Forms of Kerala, followed by a hearty dinner and overnight sleep at Coconut Lagoon. What a day, isn't it?
Kumarakom - Day 2
Get a wake-up call by the birds from the nearby bird sanctuary and get ready to experience yoga for your body and mind. After breakfast, enjoy some bird watching on a boat accompanied by a naturalist, who will identify the birds which chirped you out of sleep earlier in the morning. Head to resort in time for lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure. In the evening, engage in yet another session of cooking demonstration and Cultural show. Enjoy a delicious dinner and overnight stay at Coconut Lagoon.
Kumarakom - Day 3
