From here the trail climbs up and leads us up to the village of Dok yongma from where the trail to the village Hunder Dok is well defined and passes through spectacular lush green barely fields. Hundar Dok is almost a hidden Village and nobody would realize that such a big Village could exist somewhere inside when you start trekking. The narrow Nubra gorge just opens up to this massive Village with farmfields of barley, wheat and potatoes. There is a path that runs through the middle of the Village dividing the Village and the farmfields into 2 halves. One of the houses mans a DSPT phone connection which could be used for making calls. Overnight stay at Camp.
Day 6

Post breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La famed to be the highest motor-able pass in the world . From the pass one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra by Ladakhi people. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Upon arrival in Nubra we check in at our camp in Hunder for overnight stay. In the evening you can walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world. Day 7

We will start very early from the base camp with our head lamps showing us the route for a couple of hours till the sun breaks out. From the base camp there is a steep climb to the ridge just above the camp and this will set the tone for the climb to come. From the first ridge we move to a big glacier which we negotiate carefully and from here we find our way up to the final ridge which will lead us to the summit. The final stretch is quite steep and the thin air makes it even more challenging. This is a very interesting though tiring stretch as we move through a typical high altitude terrain which has boulders, scree laden ridges, glaciers and high snow capped mountains all around. The summit rewards us with wide open views of the Karakoram and Ladakh range on the north, the Zanskar range on the west and a bird's eye view of the Indus valley and the Leh city. The climb to the top will take anywhere between 6 to 8 hrs while the return trip will take us around 4 hours. Overnight in tents
