Day 1 Cochin Munnar
Day 1: Cochin –Munnar (140 Kms – Approx 4 Hrs Drive) Upon arrival will meet and proceed to Munnar. Munnar - as the name itself states, Munnar is the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Munnar is situated at 1,600 m above sea level. This hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture-book towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make Munnar a popular resort town. En-route to Munnar from Cochin you have the opportunity to enjoy the scenic beauty of Cheyyappara waterfalls, Valara waterfalls, Cardamom Plantations and Tea plantations. Day 2 Munnar
Day 2: Munnar After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Munnar which includes Mattupetty Dam (boating at own cost, coordinate with driver), Echo point where the natural Echo phenomenon is always happening, Honeybee Tree, Anamudi Peak view point (highest peak in south India standing at a height of over 2700 m), Kundala Dam and lake, the Eravikulam (Rajamalai) National Park which is a 30 minutes’ drive away from Munnar town (where you can see Nilgiri Tahr the rare species of Mountain Goat), Tata Tea Museum, Rose Garden and Blossom Park. Day 3 Munnar Kumarakom
Day 3: Munnar - Kumarakom (220Kms – Approx 5 Hrs Drive) After breakfast proceed to Kumarakom. Kumarakom is a popular tourism destination located near the city of Kottayam, set in the backdrop of the Vembanad Lake, the largest lake in the state of Kerala. The major attraction is the Bird Sanctuary (Working time: 6am- 6pm) which can be visited by canoes arranged by local fishermen at the entrance to the sanctuary. A two-hour rowing canoe trip is quite cheap, and is best undertaken in the evening or early morning to avoid the afternoon sun. There is also the Bay Island Drift Museum (Working time: 10 am- 5 pm) with a huge collection of root sculptures of various shapes and designs. Overnight Kumarakom
Day 4 Kumarakom Cochin
Day 4: Kumarakom – Cochin (70Kms – Approx 1 Hr 30 Mins Drive) After breakfast checkout and proceed to Cochin. Sightseeing at Cochin include Fort Kochi with huge cantilevered Chinese fishing nets (believed to have been introduced in Kochi by Chinese explorer Zheng He between 1350 and 1450 AD.), St. Francis CSI Church (Oldest European church in India), Jew Town with 16th century Jewish Synagogue (closed on every Fridays and Saturdays and Jewish Holidays), Mattancherry Dutch Palace, built by Portuguese in 1555 (Closed on every Fridays), Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica and drop to the Railway Station/Airport for onward journey, Say good bye to kerala with wonderful memories of a beautiful vacation with Ebenezer Holidays Pvt.
