Itinerary :

Day 1:
Arrive in Pathankot | Drive from Pathankot to Dalhousie (130 km/approx. 4 hours)

Upon your arrival at the Pathankot Railway Station, board the vehicle and drive to Dalhousie. Situated on five hills in the Dhauladhar range of Himalayas, this beautiful hill station was named after Lord Dalhousie, the British Viceroy in India during nineteenth century. Endowed with natural glory, Dalhousie portrays a marvellous scenery of snow-capped peaks and coniferous forests. This place is well-known for its grand old buildings and churches that showcase Victorian and Scottish architecture. After your arrival at Dalhousie, check-in at the hotel and take rest. In the evening, you may go out for a walk and enjoy the pleasant weather. Return to the hotel and cherish a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 2:
Sightseeing in Dalhousie

This morning, check-out from the hotel and go on a sightseeing tour to discover the significant attractions in Dalhousie. Visit Panchpula stream, which is formed by the fresh water of many natural pools. On the way to Panchpula lies the Satdhara Spring that is known for its medicated water. Panchpula is the main source of water to Dalhousie. At this spot, a monument is constructed in the remembrance of Sardar Ajit Singh, an Indian freedom fighter. This monument is the meeting point of several streams. You can also go to the nearby restaurants near Panchpula to have snacks. You can go to Subhash Baoli, a perennial spring named after Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, famous Indian freedom fighter. It is said that he spent seven months in Dalhousie and had came here to cure himself with the medicated water of this spring. At Bara Patthar, you can go to Bhulwani Mata Mandir, a famous temple located amidst thick coniferous forest in Ahla Village. Visit Bakrota Hills where you can walk along the 5 km rounded path in the Bakrota Mall and take a spectacular view of majestic peaks of mountains. Go to St. John's Church in Dalhousie which is the oldest shrine in this hill station. This Protestant Church features Victorian architecture and resembles the Roman Catholic Church of England. In the library of the church, you will find rare books and pictures that narrate the cultural past of Dalhousie. After exploring the glittering sites in Dalhousie, return to the hotel and relax. Spend a cosy night at the hotel.

Day 3:
Trip to Khajjiar

In the morning, check-out from the hotel and drive to Khajjiar, also known as 'Gulmarg of Himachal Pradesh'. This small hill station is among 160 places in the world which has been officially titled as India's 'Mini Switzerland'. Khajjiar, an eternally beautiful place strikingly resembles the lovely landscapes in Switzerland. With attractive, green meadows and forests, Khajjiar provides great opportunities for photography. You can visit the large golf course in Khajjiar town and spend quality time in playing golf and witnessing the site. Another important attraction in Khajjiar is the Khajjiar Lake, which is a perennial lake located at the centre of the plains. The lake is surrounded by hills and cedar forests which give a magical look to this site. You can go to the  Khajjinag Temple that is a well-known temple located near the Khajjiar Lake. After an enthralling trip to Khajjiar, return to the hotel and take rest. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 4:
Drive from Dalhousie to Amritsar (200 km/approx. 6 hours)

Check-out from the hotel in the morning and drive to Amritsar, the city of Golden Temple. Amritsar is the one of the commercial and cultural hubs in Punjab. Earlier known as Ramdaspur, Amritsar is a holy city for the people who follow Sikhism. The city earns its revenue mainly from carpets, fabrics, handicrafts and service trades. This destination is home to the famous Golden Temple or Harmandir Sahib that is spiritual and cultural centre for the Sikh community. There are many tourist places in this historic city, namely Jallianwala Bagh, Wagah Border, Akal Takht, Durgiana Temple, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum, Gurudwara Chheharta Sahib and Ram Bagh. Upon your arrival at Amritsar, check-in at the hotel and relax. Take a nap to refresh yourself. In the evening, head towards the India-Pakistan Border at Wagah. At this site, you will get an opportunity to watch the 'Beating the Retreat' ceremony. During this ceremony, the soldiers of both the nations bring down their respective national flags in their distinct styles. With the sunset, you will hear the sounds of patriotic songs and nationalistic slogans. After watching this respectful ceremony, return to the hotel and stay overnight.
