- Awesome lazy weekend getaway

A recommendation from wife's friend was enough to get us interested. So we picked up the phone, got the details, made spot payment and within 10 minutes booking was confirmed. On Saturday, planned day of arrival, we drove about 3. 5 hours from Pune to arrive at the destination. Upon arrival, we were greeted pleasantly, given a room and then served Kokam drink. Kids kind of felt that they owned the space, as if in grandparents house. Rooms are reasonable with 24 hours hot and cold water. Linen was washed and clean, but somewhat short of inviting. We spent the next few hours at the adjacent beach and then returned back to the cottage for lunch. Before lunching though, we took a peek into the vegetarian kitchen and were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness. That made food so much more appetizing and wholesome. It was great to see the landlady Jogalekar) work with the staff in the kitchen. She made sure that all was in order with food, its quality and temperature. There is plenty of open space, just outside the dining hall, with hammocks and swings for children (and grown ups). The yard is lush green with ample in the nature for a good conversation with family, friends and even strangers. A lovely experience overall. Strongly recommended for a weekend getaway in a peaceful, rustic and non intrusive environment.
- Keep it up for all the good facilities provided

Last year I had been to Alibagh with my family and friends for a vacation and stayed at Jogalekar Cottage. The location of this cottage was convenient. The staff and services at this cottage were good and helpful. The check-in and check-out process has done on time. There was good chef at the cottage restaurant. There was forest by the surrounding of the cottage. The room was neat, clean and well provided with good amenities. There was a forest view from the room window. The food that I tasted at the cottage restaurant was veg; non-veg mean which was very good in taste and reasonably priced. There was a swimming pool provided by the cottage as an activity but we did not utilize it. There was good parking area provided by the cottage. The cottage was worth for the amount spent by me and recommendable to other visitors. There are no suggestions from my side to the cottage management just had to tell keep it up for all the facilities that they were and they are providing for.
- An average place and requires a lot improvement

We booked one day's stay at this cottage because we were apprehensive about the quality of this place and for once we were glad that it was only for a day. The place was nowhere near Alibaug, if that is what you have in mind while planning a trip. It is in a village called Awas and it's a village just that, for the amount charged visa- Versa the quality was not worth, the only part which gave us some solace was the food, there were no activities planned, the beach near the cottage goes through a cemetery, not a sight one wants when on a holiday, You're provided with a room and it requires thorough cleaning, one could see cobwebs at many places, the TV has nothing to talk about 21" normal CRT, bathrooms needs audit from a professional agency, the tiles and the fittings were all coated with layers of lime deposits. Well one should plan this place only if there is no other option for a night halt.
- Bad experience & not recommended

I don't understand how people have given good ratings to this place. For us the stay was not up to the mark, looking at the exorbitant charges of 12, 000/- for 1 day one night Lets start with the location; the bungalow is quite in the interiors with kacha roads. We were 8 adults and 3 kids, felt the house was too small to accommodate us, as opposed to what the owner said (10 people can stay easily) The rooms are very small as opposed to what is shown in the pictures. The kitchen is attached to the hall and without any exhaust, so when you put on the AC, you get suffocated like hell Less lights in the house, making it a bit dark in the night. Hygiene is a concern, bed sheets were not washed and were smelly. Swimming pool is actually kids pool, with dirty water The maids charged 1000/-per day. Which means we ended up paying additional 2000 which is quite high( the owner initially told us that we would have to pay 700/- only). 2000 is only for cooking, this excludes the grocery and everything so you end paying additional 1000, absolutely a bad deal The maids had their lunch/breakfast/tea /dinner with us, even when some of our friends did not have theirs, leaving no food for them to eat. They put a lot of oil and salt in the food, even after multiple times being told to put less. There are worms and snakes in the lawn The AC remote, it's temperature is controlled by the caretaker. Anytime you wish to turn off or reduce the temperature you have depend on the caretaker Also, there is nothing on roof top apart from AC box which makes a huge noise however owner had mentioned that we can utilise this space too. AC was leaking The glasses were available but kept inside. Less no of spoons All in all this bungalow is surely not a good deal for where you pay lot more money for NO FUN - 1000 Bunglow rent (without AC) - 2000 Rs. Extra for AC (seller insist to pay the money right away if you request for AC and does allow time till checkout) For maids (for cooking 3 meals in 24 hrs. And you end up sponsoring good vacation time for them too The owner has some good selling tricks and he was successful in tricking us too. We felt cheated. All in all, a bad experience. Won't recommend this place to a friend.

It was really excellent. We reached there 9:00 pm in the eve as we didn't book any room there initially. We were hunting for good resort so we checked lots of option and Jogalekar was one of that. I came along with my 10 school friends. The best part was it is really closed to the beach which is not crowded at all. Food and rooms were really excellent. The staff was very cooperative. They have fulfilled few of our food needs also apart from their regular menu. We really enjoyed our stay We will look forward to visit this place again in the future.
