We just returned from our excellent journey and the worst part was that we booked this hotel for two days. Initially we booked two other hotels but the agent changed to this, which we agreed, thinking that at least basic amenities must be available. First shock came as the room was very dirty and bed linens were old, dirty and teared, so we have to ask and instruct them which took two more hours, before we can sit on our beds. Next shock came to know that TATASKY account for the TV was deactivated and even though with repeated promises from them, it was never re-activated till we checked out.
However, as we were busy in visiting various places, so we did not require TV and other amenities. Water was flowing in the bathroom making life miserable, for which again we have to remind. It seems front desk was only interested to behave as travel agent and with in two days, we have been asked for more than 10 times for using their vehicle, without considering our basic requirements we were supposed to received and promised.
Next day, we got another shock, when we have to fight for our complimentary breakfast included in the package, as they mentioned on weekends they do not provide it, finally they agreed informing us that they will, but without any options except Poha, without tea or coffee. I would not recommend family or couple, though single business person with limited requirement of hotel amenities can try this as it is not far from the Aurangabad Bus stand.
As an outsider, my observation is that the efforts put by the actual owner of the hotel goes in waste because of the mismanagement and probably required a hell lot of changes in the attitudes of the service side, especially the senior most person of the hotel front desk, whose sole aim should be to manage the hotel, not as travel agent. I would definitely reconsider this hotel in future probably after positive feedback from other actual guests.
Resort has vast open zone and MTDC office and an eatery, which is exorbitant opposite the nature of nourishment and administrations. Still, we wind up utilising it every one of the days for breakfast and supper because of comfort. Staff are useful and sensible. Truth be told, they make a decent attempt to meet the absence of offices or say, offices in critical need to substitution/redesign, by their services. The resort property is gigantic and situated in heart of the city. The room was big, beds were clean, bathrooms were greater with fountain. A/C was exceptionally old and did not permit us to control it. In any case, given that it was a Government property, our desires from the spot was not all that high and it met that desire. On the off chance that, you have not masterminded vehicles, there are specialists going by the premises or wandering around. One need to arrange however. We got entirely great arrangement for our 3 days touring, including Ellora and Devgiri post.
Hotel was located in the heart of the city and nearby Ellora Caves and Grishneshwar Temple which were at a distance of 1 km. Location of the hotel was convenient. Hotel outside appearance was not that good. Hotel has own good underground parking facility but no lawn area. Admiral Suites Hotel is a newly constructed property. Room interior was up to the mark. Mineral water bottle, pouch, electrical kettle, mini-fridge etc were available in the room. Washroom was in clean condition. Breakfast was not complimentary in the hotel. There was open restaurant on the fifth floor with cooler facility. It was a good experience to had food in open air. Food was tasty and delicious. I made my booking through online for this hotel. Booking and front office service were cooperative. They charged me 3000 for one day. I stayed in this hotel for one night. Nothing was available in the activities there. Staff was helpful and cooperative. Overall, services were satisfactory. Aurangabad is a marvellous city to visit. I visited this hotel in October 2013 with family. It was my religious trip. Hotel is perfect to stay as there is homely environment. I will go in this hotel again in the future.
I was having the pleasant memories of my stay at Lemon Tree Jaipur when I have visited Jaipur last year during Deepawali (2013) and based on my past experience, I have sought the advance reservation with Lemon tree, Aurangabad. We are a family of three( me, my wife and my son who is some 8 years old).
When we reached at the hotel, we were greeted promptly and escorted to the front desk, contrary to my earlier experience, the front desk was very gloomy and the staff there was not very co-operative, as my wife was not having her identity card with her and they were reluctant in checking her in with us. This matter was sorted with the help of the Assistant manager front desk Mr. Rahul Kokare, the female staff at the front desk were not having the kind of AURA which they should be possessing, otherwise. The Management must think of changing the location and at the front desk. ( Sorry for being rude).
The housekeeping led by Mr. Mohan was exemplary and he has set our mood with a very unique kind of towel made Ganpati in our room, my son was really very pleased and otherwise as well the housekeeping services were very good and beyond expected level so on this the hotel scores over and can be said that they have provided us the customer delight.
The Food & Beverage team at CITRUS restaurant led by shrikant and abhishek was at their best in providing whatever was expected so kudos to team Food & Beverages at Lemon tree Aurnagabad.
The other amenities like swimming pool, gym and bar were also in order, the only hitch that they have not allowed my son to play pool which was placed in the BAR lounge stating their inability as they can only allow the persons having attained the age of 21, so we were sad on their this policy. We have not used their SPA , so no comments on that.
Again during the check-out when demanded for equivalent amount of voucher( as we have booked the winter meal break package), they were not in position to offer me the same, still I am waiting for a call back from the check-out person.
Overall it was a nice stay at Lemon tree and the memories could have been better, if we were given proper treatment at the Front desk, so management please. Look into the same.
I booked 2 rooms in Manor Hotel in Aurangabad for my visit to Ajanta Ellora and Shirdi from 20th Dec 2013 to 24th Dec 2014. Booking was done by Goibibo without any problem. I chose this hotel by reading few reviews about the hotel on various internet sites. The hotel, most comfortably located at Kranti Chowk 5 kms from the Airport and 2 kms from the Railway Station We checked in at about 8 AM. The Check in time was 12 Noon. The staff asked us to wait for about an hour to get the rooms ready for us. So we decided to take our breakfast in the restaurant. It was good breakfast but a bit expensive. The rooms were ready earlier in 45 minutes by the hotel staff. The royal executive room was spacious and good decor, Nice and clean with good modern toilet and bathrooms. Cable TV with tea kettle with tea bags , sugar and milk. There was adequate parking space in the complex. The open restaurant BALLE BALLE was very good. It was surprising to see an extensive and expensive menu like that of a big city. We had superb dinner here with good prompt service. All Season restaurant serves Ala carte menu including Indian Chinese Thai food. The hotel also has a lounge Bar for enjoying the Drinks. The front lobby was good and the staff at the reception desk was good. They accepted our booking and there was no hidden costs added during bill settlement. I was afraid that on booking through travel Sites, I might get cheated. I was given the rooms which were promised to me. On four days of our stay we went to Ajanta, Ellora and Shirdi and one day local tour. Manor travels in the complex of the Hotel provided us the Tata Indigo Car with reasonable rates on these days with a good courteous driver. There were some problems in the room service and housekeeping which were solved amicably. The staff was very courteous and I found out that they were very prompt and good in saying "sorry". I talked to the Manager ( Mr Sanjay as far as I remember) about these shortcomings. He too was a patient listener and promised to solve these problems.
Overall I must say Manor Hotel was very good for Medium Budget travellers. I recommend this hotel to all travelling to Aurangabad.
I will add photos to this review later on once i copy them from my camera
