My Family (hubby, my 2yr old kid and me) reached bheemeshwari at 1.30pm. We were actually stuck in Bangalore traffic and got delayed by 1.5 hours. Roads were better and indications were pretty clear to reach the property. We were welcomed with a drink, a staff member took over the luggage guided us to our Log hut. Location is awesome, Climate was very pleasant. The Log huts are very close to water and there are swings in front of every cottage. My kid is fond of swing and he enjoyed a lot. Golghar is covered with net to avoid monkeys. There was a huge crowd in dining area, Dining is not very spacious but table and chairs are placed outside the dining hall. Lunch was not that great, few items were not that tasty. After a small break we went for coracle ride and the guide was giving good amount of information on River Cauvery. As Wind started blowing more we dropped Kayaking and went for adventurous activities. There are some adventurous activities conducted by Outback Adventures. All activities are completely safe, secured and thrilling as well. We enjoyed “Zip line”, Guides instructed us on managing the safety locks and the belts. I had a feel of flying like a bird in the air. From one tree point I was moved to another tree and came back to the center position and got down on land from 40 feet height. We were more thrilled as it was getting dark. We just relaxed on the net and gazing the Sky. The River flowing sound, bird chirp and wild animals noise was giving us the feeling that we are in mid of jungle. That is a sanctuary area and many wild animals are available in that forest. Barbeque party was good. Both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian Snacks were served. This comes with the package. Dinner was good and really better compared to Lunch. People were very less for Dinner. The evening went on very well. I could get milk for my kid and they did not charged anything for that. AC and the geyser were not working. We reported to manager that a worker was pulling a ladder below the elevated cottage and we noticed that some wires were pulled with the ladder. This helped them to rectify the problem fast. Next morning tea was served to the cottage at 6.30am. We chose flat trekking and found some elephant drop in the forest. The trek was not that interesting and we decided to do some adventurous activities in resort itself. As fishing is stopped in Fishing Camp, Parallel walk is added to the package. Parallel walk needs lots of concentration and we need to balance our body on one line of rope. Our hands need to get the support from one more rope which is tied in parallel to the rope which we are walking. Our body cannot be pushed back and balancing needs to be done from shoulders. I wished I could have had two hearts to be bold enough to look down. Once I finished the parallel walk I had two choices- one is to slide down in Zip line and reach back to land in one minute or come back to land through Burma loops rope. Burma loops need very high energy level. In this activity your body needs to be balanced in legs and hands are required to move continuously with your body. I think I used my guts which I had accumulated in my life so far. Take it from me, work pressure and office tension is nothing in front of this. Still, I enjoyed and I would love to do it again. I can say that our stay in Bheemeshwari was memorable only because of these adventurous activities. We rushed for breakfast and few items were good. I have visited few Jungle lodges, the staff and ambience was very good in other resorts. Somehow in Bheemeshwari I feel that staff members needs little more supervision. They need to be accurate and friendlier. Nobody bothered to ask for our feedback during our check-out and no staff turned up to pick our luggage. I recommend this place for Day visit and people who are interested in adventurous activities. 1,650 is really worth for Day Visit. We had stayed there by paying 7,700 for pair and still paid 1000/- for adventurous activity.
Best Experience: The Place is very scenic, I had lost myself in thoughts while sitting on the Rock on Riverside
Worst Experience: when we checked-in toilet was not cleaned after the previous guests had checked out. Rooms were not cleaned. This was a real shock for me. JLR had told us that the package included forest entry fees. But in Muthathi Gram Panchayat people collected 50/- from us telling that it is forest entry fees. That too they gave us the receipt which needs to get issued to heavy vehicles. JLR needs to ensure that this will be stopped at least for JLR guests who walk in with the invitation.
hi... it was really hectic working schedule and to tire me more (mentaly) my hubby was on bed suffering from a slipped disc. A break was much in need.. i couldnt think of any other destination other than the beautiful river based Bheemeshwari. I had known about the place earlier as i had shot for a movie there and totally had fallen in love with.. And more over i couldnt have taken my husband for a more farther place, cause i tole u he was unable to travel for more than 2 hours sitting with his disc slipped.. And i slipped into his driving seat..Our Romantic ( obviously emotional ) journey headed towards Bheemeshwari.. Oh...What an experience it was.. We started from Bengaluru may b at around 5pm.We have to book earlier in the main office in M.G.Road.. we reached the place by 7.30. Cottages or log huts r really fabulous there.. it gives u an entirely different feeling.. away from the city scenario..had dinner..went to the room with our dreamy eyes opened..stayed awake till mid night chatting.. could see the crocodile pass by just below our ht.. i was scared to death.. But not my better half.. he Said \' i\'m married to one\'... Ah...what a compliment.. as tough and large as one alligator. next day got uo late.. went to the Elephant safari... and in the day light i was looking totally different to my husband.. he was just wondering by seeing ONE ELEPHANT SITTING ON THE OTHER.... it was so much fun..came back had yummy lunch.. we couldn\'t goto safari or river rafting as my hubs had already rafted his bach.. hahaha... i know... poor joke.. and checked out in the evening with tears in my eyes as it was a wonderful experience with my lovely husband..after one and a half months bed rest (seriously not rest rather punishment) i could see him full of smile and life which this beautiful place gifted.. Thanks to Jungle Lodges.
Best Experience: the best things among lots are.. best stay.. food .. hammocks in front of the cottages which allowed me to talk n talk ntalk till the chef called us as the breakfast time was geeting over.. the safari.. the people.. who really took good care of us.. the hospitality.
It was a last minute plan and the previous week i had been to Mekedatu which is just around 10 kms from this place. I had seen a board that rest fishing camp while returning from Mekedatu and was curious about it. Since it was last minute, the idea was to not take any risk and if the location would turn bad, the plan was to cut the trip short and visit Mekedatu again with my wife. I read some reviews and they were all positive, so here I was to explore a new location. We left Bangalore at around 5:00PM and reached the location at around 9 PM. To our diappointment we had missed the barbecue. The travel agent hadnt clearly explained about the timings :(. The check-in time is at 11:00 AM and the check-out time is 12:00Am the next day. I was a little sad on the barbecue part and since it was pitch dark in the forest when we landed, I didnt get a complete feel of the place, but there was a strange feeling of excitement and something intution telling mem that it was going to be the most memorable trip. When I reached there, the staff was very friendly and hospitable and they welcomed us with a very friendly attitude. they assured that whatever activities we missed would be done separately for us the next day. That was very reassuring. We went straight to dinner and the staff handed over the keys, a torch and a solar lamp to us. The room had electricity but there were no tubes or other kinds of electric lamps. The room looked completely in sync with nature. Looks like the staff had taken a cue from the previous reviews. The attitude was nothing like the way it was mentioned in other reviews where there were reports of bad and rough attitude of the staff. The room was also very clean and nothing looked unattended, though the staff was eager to get back to bed after handing over everything to us, quite understandabley since we had landed late. Dinner was not too great, but was manageable. I went to sleep, eagerly waiting for the next day to dawn. The next day started with calls of the staff for trekking at around 6:30 AM and tea was served. We left for trekking at 7 AM with a guide. The route for the trek was steep on the hill nearby. We went up the hill that looked like just the hill next road and reached the viewpoint. We werent lucky enough to see any animals, except for some elephant dung, but the route did excite us.The view point is amazing and feels worth the trek. A complete view of river cauvery flowing though a snaky path accross to the other end towards Sangam was awesome. We took some nice snaps and then left the place. The trek downstairs was a little slippery with some tiny stones and it had rained but we made it back. the guide was very amicable as well. We headed for breakfast and i was surprised to find that many items. It was all yummy and I filled up a little more than normal. After 30 mins of rest, we headed for water sports. we chose Kayaking after rafting partly because I had forgotten to draw cash and credit cards were not accepted because of signal issues. The sports guide was very accomodative and offered to take us for the sport anyway and asked us to pay later through an online transfer. He said he would send the account details by mail and I am yet to receive it. Kayaking was a great experience.v The location offers some good rapids and currents that are essential for a good Kayaking experience. there is no hurrry to finish the job and get back to the tent and the guides take us through sufficiently to get a hands on on the Kayaking process. They only row when the kayak is going out of direction and allow you to take the lead, which was pleasant. If you are already familiar with Kayaking, you wil be allowed to do it on our own without a guide. We did pass through some excitin rapids and my wife was scared to the helm, but she now loves the experience. This went on for 2 hours and we paid Rs. 600 per head. Rafting cost Rs. 1250 per head. We then reached or the tent and had our lunch which was good and then moved on for the coracle ride which took us trhough some breath-taking views, but not many animals in view. this was a 1 hour affair and then we were driven back to the tent. Finally we were taken for joy-fishing and since the staff had a lot of wasted lunch to dispose to the fishes, it was easy to get the unsuspecting fishes to take the bait. The mahseers were pretty big in size and in half an hour we could catch aroubd 4 fishes. The fishes are only for fun and have to be left back in the river. Me and my wife took some snaps with the fishes and with that called an end to our trip. It was 6 PM in the evening. The staff thanked us for coming and got us to sign the feedback book and we were on our way home with a lot of fond memories with us. It was the best journey for both my wife and me.
Best Experience: Amicable, understanding and undisturbing staff. I still recall the kind of response they would provide for every request we make and consider every request with the highest prioirity. The amazing views and the mid of the forest experience, away from city life. sleeping on the nets with the awesome sounds of the river flowing in the background. The thrill of watersports and the kind of experience the location can offer. Amazing experince of fishing the mahseers and holding them.
Worst Experience: None. The dinner wasnt that great but isnt worth complaining.

After hearing so much about JLR we finally decided to visit them at Cauvery Fishing camp Bheemashwari. Overall came back with a mixed bag, the place is good the location scenic and it was fun to be there. I found out the place to be very expensive, if you are looking for value for money I suggest Club Mahindra Coorg, Wind Flowers Coorg or Orange County Kabini. Ok we r spoilt \'cause of our Club Mahindra membership and look for the same comforts whereever we go. Overall good place for a weekend hangout but very expensive no value for money.
Best Experience: Nice location, very peaceful, fishing and boat ride in Cauvery was a lot of fun. Bar-B-Q n Beer were very good Hammocks were amazing
Worst Experience: 1) No body at the front office to assist when we reached 2) The loghuts were very messy when we reached took about 40 min or so to locate the person and get it cleaned 3) Food was pretty ok, didn\'t even get a good sambhar - rice combination during lunch. Dinner and bar-b-q were much better 4) Difficult to locate staff it is so quiet in there if u need something u don\'t even find members of staff.
