Best Experience: Transfer to hotel from Station (35-40 Kms.) Warm welcome Room Servie Sea beach area Food Ambiance
Its an stunning resort in terms of design and architecture. The resort is filled with exotic plants. The lagoons flowing behind each room is beautiful. The service in the cafe is pretty good. The buffet spreads are lavish to say the least. But I must warn you that the service overall at the Leela is mediocre. They lack the personal touch that Taj resorts offer. This is not the first time I was staying at Leela. I have stayed before and always felt the lack of good service.
Best Experience: Certainly the best experience is to see the Leela once the sun has set. The lighting is breathtaking. The leela simply looks great in the nights!
Worst Experience: Well no prizes for guessing! Its go to do with the service! I had requested for an extended check out since my train was scheduled for late evening. They told me that ill have to leave the room atleast by 2 P.M. The reason they quoted was that they were running short of rooms and that they were overbooked. But at the same time they told me that I can pay and extend the room! Now gimme a break! If iam paying they have rooms but if iam not they are overbooked. I was puzzled! So i called up the reservation manager in bangalore, since I was a regular I requested her to put in word. After a series of phone calls the time was extended by a mere 1 hr. I decided to check out. We packed our luggages and where waiting at 3 p.m. sharp. Now comes the best part....They have copmpletely forgotten about our check out. We waited nobody arrives to pick our luggage. I also called and reminded the reception. Finally they pick our luggage and we ultimately vacate the room at 6p.m. or so. I went to the reception to collect my bill at around at 7 p.m. they dont even know that we have checked out. So when they actually had vacant rooms why are they bugging us to vacate early. Ultimately we were in the room till the time we requested for but we spent the time waiting for some one to pick our luggage for us. Ofcourse much better that waiting in the lobby! But Leela could have so easily won over me by yielding to my request than me getting my request yielded by default!
This is a nice property to relax with your wife. A secluded personal holiday to enjoy the solitude along with your better half. The food served was very nice. Chef at times will also listen to your feedbacks and take your inputs to make customized dish in your next meal. Be it a simple dish like Dale Tadka or a complex one, they will listen to you and customise it to your taste Free Airport pickup and drop facility in a BMW 5 series is the USP (for the Leela Club Members only of course). The view from the Lagoon Rooms was amazing. One can lie down or sit on a coffee table for hours and enjoy the tranquility. Facilities was good (As expected for a property of Leela). Staff were courteous, makes you feel special Activities, in terms of water sports were not much. But one can go to different beaches in Goa for all these water sports.
I went to Goa this year with my family and we were 4 people in all. We took 2 rooms and which accompanied 2 people each, rooms were affordable and very nice to stay for 2 nights. We took breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel itself, it was a wonderful and pleasant stay in holiday inn.
Extremely well-maintained hotel with best facilities
The hotel is situated closer to beach and I did not find any problem in travelling here. The room given to us was garden facing which was really good and maintained extremely well. The activities at this hotel was really enjoyable especially the water activities. The room allotted to us had all the amenities working properly. The food provided in the hotel was delicious and best in quality especially the tandoori was amazing. The staff members in the hotel are very good and quick in services. The management had also arranged candle-light dinner and morning breakfast was complimentary. The destination Goa is an amazing place to visit and this hotel is truly worth for money and comfortable to stay.
