I checked out lot of hotels as guided by my travel agent but after checking out reviews on holiday IQ and Trip advisor, I decided to go with this one, mainly due to the reason it gave me a feel of wild resort on internet. Now as for my comments there were lot of good and bad parts of the hotel
Reception - They are courteous and we were greeted with smiles. Tough we arrived by train we were given accommodation before check in time without any extra charges They made sure that we never felt uncomfortable
Rooms - Rooms are beautiful, something unique which is not there at our homes. Proper sunlight and ventilation in the rooms and were spacious. There are couple of things missing like luggage table but you would not mind that, if every thing else is all right.
Restaurant and food - I can bet on that, you will lick your fingers. We specially requested them to let us meet master chef Gopal. I did ask for some tips about cooking and he did give me some :-)
Entertainment - The resort conducts live guitar shows in the evening which was the best part. You must enjoy cycling as it is all together a different feel to roam on cycles in such a beautiful location. We observed that deers were only able to notice us when we reached really close to them as there was no noise made by cycles.
Machaan - The machaan is beautiful and nice place to sit out. But I feel certain rules should be made by the resort to sit on the machaan as there were some young couples sitting on the machaan making noise, which made us sit at a different place. tough we would have enjoyed more sitting on the machaan.
safaris - They are difficult to get as you have to stand in a Que to get them. But safari desk helped us considerably though me missed the tiger sighting. But we enjoyed the jungle and freshness in the air.
Over all - It was more than satisfactory and specially when you get personalized attention. Couple of advise 1) provide a bigger parking spaces for vehicles 2) Lawns can be more maintained . Finally I would like to thank corbett machaan resort for making our stay very very special.
Best Experience: Everything was good about the resort
A supremely peaceful resort right at the end of the commercial side of the town. The best part of the resort is their extremely helpful staff offering excellent service and extremely polite. One will hear just the sounds of the birds in the morning. Must stay in their newly bigger cottages which are very spacious and walloped with geysers in the room with temperatures falling to 6 degrees in December. Food is decent with home made style. Need to make advance request if you need anything specific which they will happily execute. Completely worth the money. Maintained property. When planning your safaris, just make sure they have all the write details of all pax.
I went to Nainital by cab. Parking area was available in the resort. Resort was located inside the jungle. Location and look of the resort were superb. Staff was friendly and cooperative. They responded well to our needs. Room was neat, clean, and spacious. AC, TV, and geyser etc were running properly. Jungle view was available from the room. Check-in and check-out was timely. Food was delicious. Nothing was available in the activities there. Sightseeing was not organized by the resort. Jim Corbett is awesome place. I went to Jim Corbett with my family in August 2014.
This is just the right place if you plan to relax and be surrounded by nature, away from the city noise. This resort served as our pick-up point for the Dhikala core zone in Jim Corbett National Park. This place has beauty, calmness, adventure and entertainment. It offers great options like cycling, swimming, badminton, TT, and lots more for passing your time and enjoying nature. Being located in the forest area, it gives a sense of thrill and excitement. Amazing cottage style rooms with great service and comfort. Highly recommended for nature and adventure lovers.
Very good hotel and I like the nature and food in the hotel
My visit to this hotel was in October month 2016 for holiday trip with family. It was wild life sapphire trip. Destination is good as I like the destiny. I would rate the hotel location good since it was near 5o sightseeing places. The hotel appearance is very good, since the nature was good. Hotel front office was good, as the booking process was done on time. I booked the hotel through Indian explorer. The service would be very good rating because they were on time. The room was very good as it was neat and tidy. Food was very good, as they provided homely food. Activities were good as evening they conduct cultural activity. I was satisfied with the stay. Best season to visit this hotel is April month. Overall stay was very good as I like the nature and food of the hotel.
