I stayed at Ramada Gurgaon with my wife in December 2014 for a night. It is strategically located in the heart of Gurgaon, very near to the Huda City Centre metro station. The hotel offers adequate on surface parking as well valet facility. The check-in was quick.
The room was very spacious. All basic amenities are present, something you would conveniently expect from any Ramada property. Hygiene standards high. Linen perfectly clean. The room heating was perfect, it was supposedly very cold outside those days. Toiletries well-stocked. Cable TV was present however, the set used was old and didn't support the USB cable input, a bit of a let down. Free WiFi usage was great.
Something worth mentioning is their food. We had all three meals at the hotel at Cafe Rouge and all were amazing. We had buffet at all times. The food was extremely tasty and the restaurant staff was very well-trained and took extremely good care of what we needed. There is a roof top pool, very clean, though we didn't take a dip since it was very cold. However, they should do something about the pigeons who were frequent visitors to it. There is a spa on the roof top as well though we didn't utilize their services so cannot comment.
There is a lawn just beside the hotel where you can take that leisurely stroll provided they're not hosting a function at that time. There is no view anywhere as you would expect almost everywhere in Gurgaon. Bakery can do better. It's presented on a very small counter and the spread is minimal. Didn't feel like ordering. Overall a good hotel to stay in Gurgaon, worth the money, if you are on a holiday or on business.
Resort Location:It was our office trip and we were 30+ people. Resort is around 45 KM from Delhi (Rajghat) or say around 25 KM from IGI Airport. Location is quite good in the sense that it's very close to NH-8 highway (Jaipur Highway).
About Resort and activities available:Resort property is good especially water park. Descent number of water rides are there. 2-3 rides are quite good and you will do again and again. Apart from water rides, we also enjoyed playing cricket. In the evening there was arrangement of Rain dance with nice music. We all enjoyed that. There is also recreation room where you can enjoy table tennis, pool, carom, etc.
In the night (or say late evening) there was good arrangement for snacks, drinks and dinner. There was also arrangement for DJ and we enjoyed same till late night.
Parking:Resort has arrangement for parking descent number of cars - just that parking is not a covered one.
Reception/Front-Desk:The staff was very helpful. Check-in & Check-out was smooth. At the time of check-in, water park tickets were given to everyone in the group.
Rooms:Rooms were quite good and comfortable. LCD was there in room. The bathroom was also good and clean. It would have been good in case there have been moisturiser so that one can apply same before going to water rides in order to protect skin.
Food & Service:Food quality was good and service was also okay.
Overall:The resort property is good with nice water park having rides for both kids and adults.
Room Tip:There are different types of rooms so do inquire before doing booking. If going with kids, you might prefer rooms at ground floor so that kids can enjoy park.
Horrible is how I would describe my stay there. Firstly, to those who are viewing this as an option to stay, it is not a hotel. This place is a club that offers swimming pool/health club & tennis court for the residents around. Secondly, don't go by the pictures they have posted on their page. They have used good photo shop because everything you'll see in pictures is extremely small, right from their driveway to their pool area.
And here is how they ruined a birthday outing that we had planned:
- We had booked a room for occupancy for 3. But when we went to the room, they had given us probably the smallest room. Also, we had to call them again to put an extra bed. Housekeeping came, opened the extra bed, and without even asking us if we would like to shift it, left quickly.
- Swimming pool - creep alert. Don't even think about it. It will always be filled with kids, which is still fine. And the pool staff is not at all polite. But "if you are not an Indian, you will be given special attention. ", that is for sure.
The staff will creep you with your stares. I was with two females and at any point of time, there were at least 2 people just standing at pool side staring at us. And when their club members arrived, they asked us to shift to a section of the pool as members would be using that section. Now that is rude.
We raised it to their manager and all that we got was a "sorry". The only saving grace is their restaurants. And I seriously suggest them that their restaurant staff should give hospitality sessions to their pool staff.
I would never visit this place again and would strongly discourage people who are considering this place as a stay option. And to their management, don't sell this like a hotel, this is a frigging club. And you'll stay where you are if you don't pull up your socks.
We visited the hotel for a relaxation holiday for one night in July and the experience overall was quite satisfying. The best things about the hotel are its location, which is very easy to access from Delhi Airport and major business hubs And worth mentioning is its breakfast spread, its amazing and lavish and you have everything there whatever you can think of. Efficient and helpful staff. The cleanliness is maintained to best possible extent. My favourite spot in the room was the deep sinking bath tub, just loved it. It is just next to the Ambiance Mall. Hence, lot of options to spend leisure time outside the hotel as well.
Chose Perch for a short business stay because of its excellent reviews and wasn't disappointed. I enjoyed my stay thoroughly as these apartments are very well designed for short stays. The one bedrooms are excellent - big living space and useful kitchen - although I ordered in mostly from their restaurant. The staff really takes care of every little thing - only area of improvement is they need to have more items for entertainment and leisure.
