My stay at The Boulevard was an extremely pleasant one. The staff is cheerful and is always forthcoming with assistance. The atmosphere is informal and the management is easily accessible which I appreciated a lot. In fact, to understand the true essence of the hotel and its relevance to the heritage of Jamshedpur, a chat with the owner, who is just a knock-on-a-door away, is a must!! All in all, if you want your stay at a hotel to go beyond the brick and mortar, you will love the warmth of the Boulevard!! They build relationships which is a good thing anywhere!! Best Experience: The delicacies at the Brubeck Bakery are excellent!! a must!! Also, if you\'re a wine connoisseur, the owner can be very resourceful!!
Worst Experience: Calling it the worst experience would be extreme but it was inconvenient not having access to the internet. However, with the tonnes of things to do once outside, one doesnt really miss the internet. After all, switching off from the bustle of life is why you\'ve checked in, right?
Stayed at The Sonnet during an interview at XLRI, Jamshedpur. The hotel is one of the poshest ones that one can find in the Steel City, i. E. Jamshedpur. Additionally, the presence of another amazing hotel, Fortune Centre Point, probably makes the people at Sonnet strive to keep their customers happy!
The reception desk had well-cultured and professional people. The rooms were clean and well-maintained too, with the room-service exceeding expectations.
The restaurant was amazing too with dishes pertaining to a wide variety of cuisines available to choose from.
All in all, a nice place to stay during a professional trip to Jamshedpur. However, in case one is looking for a cheap place to stay at, I would recommend other hotels in the city as rates at The Sonnet tend to be towards the higher side!
One of my best hotel, location is its first catch as the name says it is in the centre of the city. Amenities like gym and steam bath are available for free. They daily surprise with the complimentary breakfast, live counter is something which is awesome. Service is very goood. I always opt for this hotel when I visit there.
After a hectic year end I decided to spend the first extended weekend of April 15 in Dalma forest which is just 15 km away from Jamshedpur. My choice was Hill view Hotel, Asaboni, lying on Jamshedpur Ranchi Highway at the foot of Dalma Hills. So on 5th of April, me and my wife set for Bombay road in the early morning, from Kolkata with our Elite i20. The route is Kolata - Kharapur - Baharagora- Ghatsila -Jamshedpur - Asaboni. Distance - 287 km.
If you like peace and tranquillity, want to stay with nature, far from the maddening, crowd then Hill view hotel is the right place for you. The resort is surrounded by Dalma Hills from three sides. Where ever you look, you will only find green hills.
The resort is huge. It has huge garden and lush green lawn. Separate restaurant block and swimming pool. The pool is not very big. There are pool side cottage also. I stayed in the ground floor of the main building. The room is nice, big and well-decorated. The bed is comfortable. There is a nice LED TV inside the room. The bathroom is clean and spacious. The toiletries are provide by the hotel. If you chose pool side cottage, you will find yourself lonely. Beside, those rooms are also not well-maintained.
The staff are cordial in their dealing with the guests. Room service is prompt. Food quality is good but a bit expensive. There are few other properties nearby. One such property is 10th mile. Here the Chinese preparation is really good and the rate is also moderate. There are lots of quality restaurant in Jamshedpur also which is just 15 km drive from the hotel.
In the vicinity of resort, there are Chandil Dam ( 17 km ) and Dimna lake (15 km). Both are worth viewing. If you like driving, you can go to Ranchi which is only 123 km away. The entire route is passing through Chotanagpur plateu - a treat to the eyes.
The road from Jhargram to Ghatshila via Baharagora is really bad. So next time if I go to Asaboni, my route will be Durgapur - Bankura -Purulia -Chandil - Asaboni which I precisely followed while returning from Asaboni.
Overall, it's excellent staying at Hill view hotel, Jamshedpur.
Mom, dad and I was willing to take a short break from the daily life. So we decided to go to Ranchi for 2 nights & 3 days. I heard about the Hotel Star name from a website (cant remember at this point of time). The hotel is situated just 1 km from the Ranchi rail station. The hotel is not a very huge hotel but it has all the facilities what a good budget hotel should have. We reached there and wanted to reserve a 3 bedroom. The reception guy helped a lot and almost shown all the best rooms were available in the hotel, they were not reluctant even after seeing 3-4 rooms, we have decided the best room in the 2 nd floor with a small balcony from where you can see a bit of Ranchi city. There was TV, AC Wardrobe, bed, medium size center table, 2 chairs, dressing table, a TV set unit in the room. Which are almost sufficient to stay there for couple of days. A refreshment.
Then we have ordered for lunch, the lunch was served hot in the room only. The service boy was really nice, he only served all the foods, and also said that if anything is required, do not hesitate to ask. After having lunch, we went down to reception to gather the information regarding the sightseeing, they only suggested which sight to go and which not to, they arranged for 2 days trip in Tata Indica AC car as we were only 3 members.
The rate of the cab was also a bit lesser than the market price as asked in the local market. The trip to hundru falls, dassam falls was really nice and the driver was also helpful to visit the places as planned and on time. In the evening, we just loitered around the city markets.Dinner was also served on time as usual hot and fresh tawa roti with chicken varta was really awesome. Good part is that, those who always seek Tea, coffee at any point of time they will really prefer to stay as my dad is always asking for Coffee, most of the hotels after 8-9 pm stop delivering that but Hotel Star guys were really cool to serve the hot coffee whenever requested.Overall, the experience was really nice to stay there. Looking forward to visit Hotel Star again when we will be again in Ranchi for the Betla trip as in 2 days, Betla forest cannot be covered.
