I had been to this hotel in the month of august and I visit this hotel twice a year. My experience in this hotel was good and I had been to this hotel with my family for religious purpose. The tariff for the stay was three thousand and the location of hotel was very good and it was convenient to travel. The appearance of hotel was good from the inner and outer view. No delay in check-in and check-out process. The rooms allotted to us were good and the bed and pillows were maintained clean. The food provided to us was good in the taste and quality. Activities were not conducted by the management.
The homestay is a small one in a beautiful location. The hospitality given by Mr Vinay can never be forgotten. If you are looking for a good experience this is the place. Food is really good, if you like Mangalore based food. But still even we Bangaloreans enjoyed it. Overall, my review would be, I would choose the place again if I would go to Kodachadri.
The hotel was conveniently located and no difficulty to find hotel and it was nearer from bus stop. The staff were very friendly and well-mannered and there was no delay in check in and checkout time. The hotel appearance was average. Rooms were spacious, neat and clean. There was no view from the room and AC, TV, geyser everything were functioning properly. The food which I had there was good but there were limited varieties to choose from. There were no activities provided by the hotel and the hotel has a limited parking area and we did not need sightseeing trip facility. Overall it was value for the money.
I occupied three non a/c rooms and stayed there for one day and one night with my family members. Hotel is not nearby, but within walkable distance (less than 1 km) from the Mookambika temple. I never felt a friendly approach from the reception, but co-operative. The rooms are of different type. One of our room has no television, the other room was with very slow fan. Two rooms have good air circulation, but one had air tight. There is no restaurant in and nearby the hotel and one has to go to near the temple. I had not found the lift.
In terms of cost wise one can adjust. If the team consists elderly people, do not select this hotel. They can improve much better, if they desires.
Kollur is a beautiful place as it is located inside Kollur Wildlife Sanctuary. Staying at Aswathi had left a bad taste.
Best Experience: Kollur Mookambika Temple, Adiga\'s hotel
Worst Experience: I had to pay Rs. 500/ upfront to an agent to get 2 rooms. This later got changed to single room with 3 beds (we were 5 adults, including 3 ladies, and 2 kids). Initially booked from 23 till 25 of Oct, while checking out, I had to pay for 22nd Oct also as they claimed that they kept the room vacant for 22nd as thei will not get any one for a single day. Next time, I will look for the govt provided guest houses and will not stay in Aswathi.
