- Road Trip to Lavasa - Ekaant

The moment she saw Lavasa entrance gate she was like "OMG" we've reached Lavasa and million dollar (karodo ki :P) smile on her face. Wow what a moment that was, noticing my baby giving that smile is just priceless. Then after lots of twists and turns, curves and curves we reached finally one of the best resort of my life. Right from the parking to reception and to our room hotel staff guided very pleasantly. They have very good varieties of evening snacks and the food was dam tasty. After some snacks, we started checking the property. All the rooms has nice balcony with table and chairs and mind blowing view of Valley. We were just sitting there till the sunset, with wow scenery. This is the one place we've found many wow moments. They have a very awesome view of their Vyanjan restaurant, almost whole Lavasa city is visible at night with those cute looking street lights. They only have buffet option for dinner and it's dam tasty. Resort surrounding is lush green with lots of different flowers and trees. Unfortunately couldn't captured the night moment when the moon light spread across that resort as we were just lost in that view. Moat of the guests were roaming in the garden and surrounding area with their spouse of kids enjoying at the core. Simply loved the whole experience in Ekaant resort. Their breakfast had many interesting & tasty options. I must say that a very well maintained property and I would love to visit again ...

Also it had free WiFi and complementary breakfast, I am sure it varies from scheme to scheme but the package was worth it.
Service was up to the mark, the response time was too good, the staff were very courteous, promo and helpful. In our case despite heavy rains, they were able to deliver the food in the room on time. Hats off to the commitment of the staff. Also they make sure that your return journey is comfortable and hence they provide a couple of water bottles so that you need not to take the trouble to find it. Such small things make huge difference.
Coming to food, I always found Lavasa lacking in terms of food, I had food at many places, from all american diner to tabakh to orient, never enjoyed food there. Tabakh infant was worst. However the breakfast buffet was awesome, it had both variety and taste. Also In my opinion Chore bizarre is good in terms of food taste.
There is parking space for all the customers, so any one can comfortably come and stay. Really liked the place in terms of it unique nature and extremely good service.

Some may feel the rooms are small, however I would say they are just about right for a couple-stay. It comes with almost all basic facilities like flat screen LCD, mini fridge, iron and board, complimentary tea/coffee makers and 2 bottles of water, and regular toiletries including a hair-dryer. Did not try a la carte and room service. No great views from the room. From our balcony, we could only see some construction sites.
Check-in and Check-Out
Check-in: 12:00 noon and check-out: 10 AM. The hotel was fine with our request for late c/out (though we checked out in time, the next day).
Dining - Lunch
The hotel has a multi-cuisine restaurant “ Celebration, offering good variety spread of buffet of mostly Indian food for lunch. Few delicacies which were on the menu during our stay included Mutton, Chicken, Vegetable Makhani, Bhindi, Daal Fry, Pulao, Hakka noodles, Roti, Naan, Veg/N.veg soups, variety of salads, pastries, Sevaiya and so on. The food was delicious and would say, aptly priced. The cost per head was Rs. 650/- (plus taxes). It also had a live cooking counter, which serves some of your favourite dishes, right out of the frying pan.
Our booking included Bed & Breakfast. There were, again, various choices with a blend of English, Maharashtrian and South Indian options. The counter had Khichdi, Idli-Sambhar, Omlette, Toast/butter/Jam, Paav-Bhaji, Cereals, Cakes, Fruits (limited choice though), Yogurt, Juices, Tea and Coffee.
Overall, the hotel was nice and there are not many things to write against this place, however few points that could have been handled in a better way:
1) Our check-out and bill settlement process was extremely delayed. We had done an online booking/payment through the Hotel’s website and were expecting to pay, just the balance including our lunch. However, the staff mentioned that the payments are not reflecting for some reason“ which was hard to believe. Finally, after confirming with Bank/Credit card that the amount has not been debited, we made the full payment and it was sorted. However, we spent a lot of time at the reception counter, with multiple staff members verifying, cross-checking, calling others etc to sort this.
Why and how the payment was not received is still a mystery to us, secondly, how did hotel confirm our reservation online, without receiving the payments?
2) We had a twin sharing room. In our neighbouring room a group of boys arrived late in the night and continued with the party, they had returned from. The whole conversation and noise was audible in our room, which was quite disturbing.
3) Finally, the hotel should have offered some recreation activities like swimming pool in its own premise.
Overall, we were very happy with the stay, service and food.

On arrival we checked in and the rooms we were given were really great actually much better than expected. We got both the lake view and mountain side view rooms and both of them were excellent. Once settled in, we decided to check out the hotel and the adjoining areas. The restaurants connected to the hotel are good and offer a good variety of food from American in the American Diner to Chinese and Indian food. The other food joints along the promenade were also good with a wide choice of delicacies from Chaat, Bhel puri to wine tasting.
The rooms were great. We had the one bedroom units which came along with a kitchenette which was more than a kitchenette and a dining area too. The housekeeping was superb with everything spick and span. The room included free breakfast at The American Diner which had a good choice of breakfast items and eggs of choice.
Our stay from Jan 23rd to 26th was overall very good and we definitely will come back again as a whole group and even individually too with other friends and relatives.
We were told about the Ekaant Resort in Lavasa so we went there to check it out. The view from the hotel of the whole area was superb as it is located at an elevation. We went there for a dinner but that was a different thing altogether. The food was a huge disappointment as we expected much much more from a hotel of that standing. Never again.
Check-in and checkout was fast and without any hassle and we are sure to come back to Lavasa specifically to Waterfront Shaw.
