A trip to Kerala and Tamil Nadu, we dropped at Madurai. Of course, a visit to the famous Meenakshi Temple in the evening. Stayed here at Arasan Sapthagiri Hotel and let me tell you, we got value for the money Rooms were nice and cosy with the required facilities. The most important point here is that all the rooms were clean and fresh. The hospitality here was par excellence. Room service was also very good The advantage staying here is that, it is centrally located and also has a restaurant inside. The management also provided free WiFi facility which helped me in finalizing my further arrangements since, we were half way through our tour schedule and has to push to Rameshwaram.
We visited Madurai in the month of January just for a day as a halt over there as we had to proceed to Rameshawarm the next day. We choose this hotel as it was reasonable and very much near to the railway station just 1km walking distance and nearer to the Madurai Meenakshi temple too the same 1km walking distance from the hotel We arrived the hotel early morning and had our prior reservation with them so they just gave us the room keys and asked the bell boy to escort us. We felt that the room was a bit congested. But had got a double bed and it was comfortable, the bed was all clean and the room was tidy as well For our breakfast we went upstairs on the terrace where the restaurant was and the sight from there was beautiful. We could see the temple Gopurams from there and the city too. The food was very tasty the typical Tamilian food. We had our lunch over there but for dinner we asked for room service which took a little longer than usual to serve but it was fine. The staff was friendly and cooperative, and guided us with the way for the temple. The bus stand was also near from the hotel. We had got all needed amenities like towel, soap, shampoo. They also provided us with good drinking water Altogether a good hotel to stay at for short trips. Specially good for those who just come to visit the town just to have darshan at the temple. It is very advisable to stay over there.
Nice stay in this hotel. Best location and Meenakshi Temple is just 5min walk from the hotel. Rooms are very good. Hotel staff is also good and cooperative. Good hotel for stay in such a busy place. The food and services are more than what I expected. Ambience is nice with clean and pure environment.
I went to Madurai and I booked a room in hotel Chentoor. Since the hotel is located nearer to the railway station, after getting down from train I didn't wait for a taxi or auto. I just walked for about 10 min from there to reach the hotel. The hotel receptionist invited me politely and they verified my proof and took my details. Then one of the hotel staff took my luggage and took me to the room . . The room was kept very luxurious and clean. The room was fully air conditioned and they provide WiFi for everyone who stays in the hotel and also they provide me morning breakfast as a complimentary for booking room in their hotel. The restaurant looks top class one. I stayed for three days; the hotel staff responds me immediately whenever I ask for something. I felt very safe and comfort during my stay in this hotel. Definitely this hotel will be a safe place to stay for new people. Go for it !.
One of the premier hotels to stay, great Regency is a good choice for a short stay of about 2-3 days while you are in Madurai City. Located to all prominent modes of transport it offers, the best staying option. Rooms are good and luxurious. Food is great. Service is good. Best time to visit is during the Winter season as it's really hot during summer.
